Who is the fella on piano working with Brian on the "My Favorite Things" arrangement? It felt like in a couple places the arranger was holding on for dear life as Setzer just charged ahead with ideas - even when Brian had no idea what chord he was playing! I loved seeing that, gives a bit of a clue what those very first Lonely Ave sessions with Mark Stockert and the bass player and drummer he brought in might have been like.

And since I'm afraid I might've missed some, are there more "all access" scenes than just the two with Kevin as Santa and Big King Fun?

Also Tavo, your bit was so very cool Smile

I think that Brian mentions the name of the pianist... not sure yet, must check but I believe it.

It sounds like you've found all the special features on that DVD. I don't recall any others.

I believe the arranger on that tune is former BSO trombonist and longtime BSO arranger Mark Jones. For all the publicity Frank Comstock is getting for his work with Brian, Mark Jones helped Brian arrange a number of tunes on Wolfgang and "Trouble Train" on Songs From Lonely Avenue. I'm not sure how far back his history as an arranger for Setzer goes, but I recall seeing arranger credits on both Christmas albums and the"Luck Be a Lady" EP.

For an article discussing, among other things, Mark's role in arranging "My Favorite Things" check out this mighty fine page on our very own Hoodoo Voodoo Lounge (more than a message board):
