| Private party in Hollister CA. Then continuing southeast to Bakersfield to see Merle Haggard at the Crystal Palace on Friday January 1.
Have fun in Reno. Be sure to check out Dueling Pianos at the Silver Legacy. Maybe you can even request a Stray Cats or BSO tune (or more than one).

| As for me: I'm having dinner with my parents and brothers and after the clock strikes twelve, I'm going out with my fiancee to celebrate our second year together. We're gathering some people and just roaming from pub to pub. |

| Do the people dress in a special way on NYE?? I mean this because at least here in Spain, women tend to wear a nice dress, stiletto shoes and men usually wear a suit and a tie... Just curious to know whether people wear in a more "formal" or "special way around the globe. As for me... I always look great, hjeheh, so, no need to wear in a special way... just my creepers, my jeans and a shirt. |

| Happy New Year!!
This year for the first time in a long time I'll be with a small group of friends at my dear friend Larry's house for a lovely fondue dinner. In previous years Larry's Christmas/New Year's parties have been quite memorable, involving slinky formal wear, limousine rides around the city and lots of champagne.... but this year I think it'll be a quiet, reflective one. Heh.

| Mrs. Bear85 and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year (our actual day is the 29th, but we're celebrating on New Year's Eve). The venue will be pretty much the only place around here with anything approximating a night life - the Oneida Casino in Green Bay.
Entertainment for the evening will be Gizzelle (who opened for Chuck Berry last May), the Del Morocco's, and Los Straitjackets to ring in the New Year. I'm really looking forward to it - it's been AGES since we were out on New Year's Eve!

| Well,I am a bit jealous now, hearing what you will all be up to. I will be behind the wheel as usual in my cab taking drunken people out and about.I'm only doing pre booked jobs though as last year I went into town and promptly had a guy leave a vomit deposit in the back! For the record, here in the UK,New Years Eve is more of a fancy dress night than a formal attire evening. Then again, hardly anyone dresses up these days. Hope you all have a great one and a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year. I am hoping for a better 2010 after a testing 2009 which included my 9 month old Mercedes Taxi bursting into flames whilst I was driving! Regards Steve | |

| My NYE plans fell through for lack of interest!! My friends are getting old, apparently So instead, I'm spending today ticking things off my to-do list (those of you expecting goodies from me in the mail, they're going out Monday!!) organizing, making lists and plans, setting goals... and going to bed early to get a jump on 2010!! 2009 was fantastic, Setzer-wise. Landmark. Unbelievable. Unforgettable! I definitely won't be able to match that in 2010 (I hope Le Setz himself will take a well-deserved break for at least few months!!), but I'll be relieved to see 2009 in the rear-view mirror on a personal level. Relationship-wise, health-wise... it sucked!! I'm excited to turn that on its head in 2010. Bring it on!!! Here's to an exciting, wonderful, enjoyable, successful and satisfying 2010 for everyone! Happy New Year! | |

| Happy New Year all! We'll be stayin' up late, watching the ball drop and drinking some bubbly in the comfort of our home. Right now, I'm patiently waiting for the boys (hubby included) to finish a cut-throat game of Halo 3, and then we'll break out the Clue board game. Sound exciting? Well....maybe not for you, but for me, it's a great start to a grand new year.
I do have to admit...I'm a tad bit jealous of Bear! I'd love to be up in Green Bay seeing Los Straightjackets. But, NYE is not the night for us to hire a babysitter, nor is it a good night to be driving long distances. Happy Anniversary, Bear! May you and your wife have at least 20 more great years together!
May 2010 be a good year for all! hrg

| Happy New Year, Hoodoo people!
The show at the casino was fantastic. First band was Los Diamantes, from southern California I think. How to describe...hmmm...Bill Haley and the Comets meets Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, or something like that. Lead singer in a zoot suit, very energetic, really workin it. Pretty big band - 7 people, I think.
Second on the bill was Gizzelle - she's who we really went to see. Look her up on MySpace, you won't be sorry.
Third was The Del Moroccos. Girl lead singer with two backup singers, all in sequin dresses. Most of the same guys playing behind them. Very fun band to watch.
The Los Straitjackets. I had heard them, and that was great, but you really have to see them live. Mexican wrestler masks, matching black suits, matching silver-and-gold guitars, choreography... way too cool for school.
And one of the people sitting by us used to be the webmaster for The Ventures - he gave me a business card with a Ventures guitar pick attached!
A very good time was had! And thank you all so much for the anniversary wishes! There was a couple there last night seclebrating their 49th anniversary - that'll be us in 29 years!
