Does your dad rockabilly? post pix.

some one pissed me off at another forum and it fired me up to find
a picture of my Dad who is an original rockabilly.. if your dad rocks the billy

I don't think my Dad would qualify as an original 'billy rocker since he was born in '52. He wouold have come of age with the hippie movement, but he does dig on all the good stuff as far as music goes. He likes Dick Dale a lot after I played some of his tunes for him a while back and he has been floored with Reverend Horton Heat.

He can pick a guitar, sort of...and he likes the look of Gretsches.

Hah! The ol'man is spanish so its kind of a given to have a full thick head of
hair on that side of the family. Now the irish german side... not as spectacular.
I thought I was golden until my wife took genetics in college and we found out

my old man is spanish too, but he go the short end of the deal. His hair is really thin. My grandpa seems to have/had a pretty decent head of hair, but that's my mom's stepdad. So I got cursed with the Irish hair gene. I'll be getting clipper cuts in about 10 years

I have plenty of hair. In fact it's such an issue, the wife got me one of these for christmas. I'll tell you what, no bats in my cave.

those things scare me.. what if mid rotation they stopped work/ grind to a halt just stuck

Awhile back, you posted links to a youTube video of an older gentleman rockin' out (on a Strat maybe?) to Hello Mary Lou, and there were several other videos of him also, playing great old rock'n'roll songs.

Do you remember what I'm talking about? Was that your dad?

nope! My Dad just plays his epiphone Joe Pass and a blues deluxe working
out Jazz tunes these days. He's had to mellow out on all fronts since he
developed tinnitus a few yrs ago. Even has to drink decaf coffee. Its probably
good he's in his 60s.

ps. when we say those videos though we were crackin up cuz he reminded
me of that guy.
