Subject: 10p cassette tape gives me new hero! Wed May 19, 2010 11:36 am
I saw a 10p tape called 'Freddie King' 17 of his greatest hits (originals) and bought the cassette on impulse as i hoped it would have some blues type music on it. WELL....eat your heart out B.B. ....this guy is the King of the Blues! I'd never heard of this cat before, so if it was rubbish i would have binned it. But i loved each and every track. I was so impressed by this guitar/vocals/ whole band that i imediately investigated Mr King. And have just received 'The very best of Freddy King vol.1. on cd. FANTASTIC! Anyone else like Freddie? And any cd recommendations of cds or dvds? Thanks, Steve.

I like Freddie King too, most of his early stuff in instrumental music, brilliant stuff. YouTube has lots of greta live clips. Nice to hear you too like his singing , most people only credit him as a great guitar player. double whammy!
