| So.. I finally did it. Took what Rich Modica said Setzer was using for his guitar cables and built them to that spec. albeit shorter since I use a nocturne. these are even directional with the Silent Plug on the guitar side (black goes toward the amp) This is built better than a freakfrackin Lava Cable! | |

| Baxter is asking for gretsch owners to register their guitars for some big data base, so I guess long after your time on earth the guitar will go on with a history or something. regarding the cables.. brian likes the silent pro high grade Neutriks on the guitar end and the amp side is a high grade Neutriks single conductor jack. Canare (Kah na re') cable from Japan known for keeping integrity at longer lengths. It didnt sound crazy different from the 6yr old 15' george L I normally run, just a big more low mids and a tad punchier with the tvclassics but WOW on the dynasonics and strat, quite a tone enhancer. this was guitar direct to amp.. I havent demo'd it yet with my effects because the other one is not yet completed. Its a bit complex with these connectors but worth it. I imagine my 12' length cable isnt gonna show the cables true colors until I am running lengths in excess of 20ft. ..still checking it out.. Brians cable of choice from what the GP article on the Dirty Boogie album talks about. | |

| Right on man! I've been in need of some cables for a while, but don't want to spend a small bundle of cash on stuff that will eventually go wonky! I've had my George L's 10 ft'rs for 5 years, and one of them gets a little scratchy now. I was looking up the information you gave on the gretsch talk or GDP board...and the Canare with Neutrik silent plug is loads less than what I paid for my George L's and less than what Lava is charging for their "econo" cables | |

I was all excited about the possibility of offering them on my site but MAAaaan you need some serious patience and attention span to properly put together guitar cables. As simple as it seems gooood saint nick it tries your patience. You have to use an electricians extra hand, without it..no dice. all to say, I found a company that will wholesale me the thicker george L cables with the neutrik jacks and I want to offer both brians style and the george ls. I hate the solderless george L connectors, they need REAL jacks with good solder.. cant afford to carry cables really

| I've heard that cables are a pain in the arse to make. So, I won't even attempt to buy bulk cable and plugs. I'd ruin the cable pretty fast. I'm just looking for a great alternative to overpriced booteek cables, crappy overpriced mainstream (monster), and something that sounds better than Joe's guitar shop cable. I liked it when a shop here carried george L's but they quickly took them off the shelves. I'd just like a little longer cable 12-15' to go from my guitar to my pedal, and get some cable for the board.
There was a site I found that had the Canare GS6 cable with Neutrik plugs. I think 20' was under 30 bucks, I think. I wish I had the link.
