| From BrianSetzer.com:
Brian Setzer appearances have been POSTPONED at Agua Caliente Casino & Resort and Thunder Valley Casino & Resort, December 30th and 31st, due to illness. "A Message from Brian"
I regret to inform you I will not be able to play with the BSO at the Palm Springs and Sacramento shows. On Christmas Day my foot started to hurt and swell up. By the next morning, I couldn't walk on it so I went to the Doctor. He told me I have a very serious infection. Thinking it would get better, I held out until the last minute before canceling the shows, Doctor's orders.
I am confined to the couch and it has since gotten worse. I am so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I have played many shows with the flu and other such ailments, but I can't take this one lightly. Again, the last thing I want to do is cancel a show. I look forward to seeing you next year on tour and hopefully I'll start this one off on the right foot! (Sorry, I had to do it!)
--Brian Setzer More information on the make-up date will be posted here once it becomes available.

| Well that's a major buzzkill. We were going to catch a flight from Chicago in about 20 hours. Now what to do? | |

| Yep, Anura and I are both devestated. Nothing like a flight from Australia to not see the BSO. ANything else to do in Palm Springs besides eat, drink and shop? | |

Well then, let me tell you.... Initially devestated, both Anura and I were sooooo looking forward to this after travelling so far, not to mention all the crappy weather that's followed us from Australia, but, I'm actually pretty good. There's always a positive to come out of a negative, you just have to look for it. I'm in California man!!!! I've met stacks of great people, I'm with my beautiful loving Wife. The BSO would have been the cherry on the cake. I've probably eaten too much, so hold the cherry. Life goes on, it's too short to be too ticked off. I just hope Brian's foot gets better and soon for his sake. I'm sorry for all of us, it would have been a killer of a show, but hey on another bright side Tavo, you won't get touched (although I'm sure you would have lived with it) Catch ya later. You're other Aussie pal, Rene'

You're other Aussie pal,
Rene' Rene, You have an amazing attitude with the cancellation of the show. I'm glad that you and your wife are enjoying your trip to Cali, and I hope that someday soon you will have your "cherry" on the cake. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and here's to a safe return to the land down under for you. You're right, life is waaaaaaay too short to be ticked off for long. Take care, hrg

| Oh no! So sorry to hear this, especially for Brian AND for the folks that traveled from Australia. I am glad to hear you have such a positive attitude and have been able to enjoy your trip. I can't imagine traveling all that way (mostly) to see the BSO only to have it cancelled. So sorry to hear that Brian is "out of commission". What a bummer! Wishing you all a happy (and safe) New Years! ENJOY! | |

| At least the venues are offering refunds. "I look forward to seeing you next year on tour and hopefully I'll start this one off on the right foot! (Sorry, I had to do it!)" I'm going to make lemonade out of lemons... there's going to be a tour next year from what Mr. Setzer says in his announcement. Here's sending good thoughts and prayers his way for a speedy, full recovery, and keeping my fingers crossed for the official tour announcement soon! hrg | |

| I called the venue while in Palm Springs to ask about a refund (sure, they're supposed to reschedule, but I could put my $163.60 to use in the meantime!) I left a message for Jerry somebody at Agua Caliente, his voicemail said he would be returning everyone's calls but it would take a while. Today he did leave me a message telling me if I wanted to pursue a refund I could call him back or call Star Tickets, the national ticketing agency for the venue. I called the number he gave me for Star - it said my call couldn't be completed as dialed. I looked them up and called their corporate offices. They had no record of my order number. When I originally purchased the tickets it was by clicking the link at briansetzer.com and getting them through the presale, which was done through Music Today (LiveNation) - not Star Tickets. Music Today/LiveNation doesn't have a customer service number listed anywhere that I've found yet in my brief search. I called and left another message for Jerry at the casino... waiting patiently for resolution....
Sigh. | |
