I just happened to see on Facebook that Daniel Glass, best known as the drummer for Royal Crown Revue, will be playing the BSO shows this weekend. I am absolutely ecstatic about this, he is one of the best and most passionate drummers I've ever heard, and especially for this music. These shows just keep gettin' better!!

Hahaha, nice jokes Tavo!!
And nice pictures too! What a lovely thick snare, he has to hit it hard to make it sound!

As a southpaw and an aspiring drummer, I'm over the moon to discover that the drummer I respect the most, who plays better than anyone, in the genres I love the most... is also a lefty. Now that's inspiration! I've asked him to bring copies of his latest book and DVD to the shows this weekend so I can buy them directly from him and have them signed.
... and for those who haven't gone to the 'Tube to watch this guy play, check this out:
(The first part is the best, the tap dance segment doesn't show off his talent anywhere near as well)

Hah! You know, Slim Jim Phantom is also a leftie. And so is my favourite drummer Andreas, who happens to be in my band, Built For Speed... (drum solo alert at 2:34)
Sorry about derailing. Back to the topic. I really dug Daniel Glass' drumming, Andi. BTW, does that mean that Tony Pia has left the BSO?

Yes, I believe there was an announcement over at bs.com that Tony had left the building.

Update, Danny apparently changed his mind on the shoes after playing in them. Said he was really able to stomp on that pedal!! And, I bought my signed book (gotta order the DVD, he didn't have any with him).
To quote Danny, "lefties rule!"

Hey Tavo...how do you know when the stage is level? When the drummer's drooling out of both sides of his mouth. Good Night...drive safely!

How do you know there's a drummer at the door?
