| My purchases today were limited to the new Pretenders and Oasis releases; the Christmas tunes will have to wait until someone can confirm if Christmas Island is a different recording from what we got previously.........
care to add anything, Rickipedia??

| I just picked up the "ultimate" version at Borders Books and the dvd is the same..as I shamelessly checked the extra features for my 10sec fan blip. hey..my 5 yr old was impressed. Front row seats that night, man that was a fun show!! | |

Front row seats that night, man that was a fun show!! Yep...when yer big ol' mug graced our 50" plasma screen, it nearly broke it! 14 min. 50 second remaining of your 15 min. of fame. Unless of course, you count the number of times it's been played, and rewound, and re-recorded...then it's about up. hrg

| Guys, can someone clarify :-
If you buy the DVD you get the DVD and the CD in the same package ?
and then the CD is also available separately ?
On Amazon UK they have the DVD for £11.99, then they say you can buy it with the CD for £18. But then it seems you`d get 2 copies of the CD and the extra £7 is wasted ? Maybe they don`t realise the CD is the same ?

| I guess it's a matter of perspective. I've never considered it a "DVD with a bonus CD." I always viewed the products as two IDENTICAL CDs, with "The Ultimate Christmas Collection" being a "CD with a bonus DVD."
Yes, the CDs are identical, in terms of their content. "Christmas Rocks" is a CD. "The Ultimate Christmas Collection" is a CD/DVD combo. And the DVD content is identical to the one all the die-hard Setzer fans bought years ago.
So, if you're after the new content only, buy "Christmas Rocks," which has the unreleased "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," as well as two tracks previously unavailable in the UK, "Christmas Island," and "Bach's Bounce." And "Take a Break, Guys" finally has a home on a Christmas album.
And if you missed the DVD before, you might as well get "The Ultimate Christmas Collection."
And if you're a completist in terms of collecting Setzer products, you'll buy both, just like you did when the Red,White, and Blue vinyl editions of "13" came out, and similar to when you tracked down the seven previous releases of "Boogie Woogie Christmas" (Japanese edition, Standard US Release, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, and US expanded re-release, plus the Japan "Luck Be a Lady" EP with the different version of "Let It Snow x3".)

http://www.bettiepage.com/index.html I am indeed saying YES it is her now. I've seen video footage and some fan picts. She's alive n kickin at 85'. That movie that gretchen mol did of her ended when her real life took over. Kinda like Walk the Line. You have to realize that recent photos are hard for those of us guys who have been in "luv" with Betty Page the 50s pinup our whole lives, to face the facts. Its creepy ,but it shouldnt be... you know?? anyway.. I am sorry for derailing the fact that all we have is a CD/DVD of the BSO this year and no show... Back to the misery.

I think the arrangements are pretty much the same, but the "Luck be..." version is a liiitle bit slower, has a different intro, and it's in the key of Eb with a modulation to F before the last verse. While the "Dig that crazy..."-version is in G (modulation to A). Anders (I'm no Rickipedia, sorry for buttin' in... )
