Big ASS guitar hero to us gearheads as he can play ANYTHING. his instrumental album "play" is a showcase of that. Not to mention he's a great songwriter even if the tunes all fit inside a comfortable nashvegas shoe.

Had watched the CMA's on CMC and did see glimpses of Brian in the audience from time to time.
So yeah not sure why he was at the Country Music Awards but cool that he was.

Brian was in the audience at the CMAs because he was taping the CMA Country Christmas TV Special the next day. The CMAs figured they'd film it while everyone was already in town.
