| I can't resist to the pelasure to go back to this little game and I hope we'll be a lot to play... So, in my Music Plyer, there is actually 5 records : - Johnny CASH & June CARTER : "Duets" (included the fantastic "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man") - Jimmy CAVALLO & His House Rockers : "Rock The Joint" - Billy "The Kid" EMERSON : "Move Baby, Move" - Wes MONTGOMERY : "Incredible Jazz Guitar" - The Brian SETZER Orchestra : "Wolfgang's Big Night Out" (included "Bach's Bounce") 5 giants, 5 styles, 5 ways to feel good... | |

Brian Setzer - 13 Rev Horton Heat - Smoke 'em if you got 'em And a random best of Stray Cats.. camden I think.. Music just isn't the same out of my ipod docking station.. Kid. | |

| This past week:
Ultra-Lounge, Volume 3: Space Capades - Ever since I discovered It's Always Sunny in Philadephia - A sort of of Seinfeld-meets-Jackass comedy - I have been jonesin' for the Space Age bachelor pad pop that serves as a smarmy soundtrack for this sick and twisted show.
The Clash: Live at Shea Stadium - I never saw The Clash live, so this will have to do. Easily one of the top concert albums I own.
David Bowie: Aladdin Sane - Bowie glams up the Rolling Stones' Let's Spend the Night Together. Mike Garson's piano is the second most significant contribution to a Bowie album, next to Stevie Ray Vaughan on Let's Dance.
Elvis Costello & the Attractions: Momofuku - This album could have been recorded in 1978 - stripped down, raw, free from the restrictons of a concept album - it just rocks.
The Pretenders: Break Up the Concrete - Touring with the Stray Cats last year seems to have rubbed off on The Pretenders. There are a couple of rockabilly-influenced tracks, one Bo Diddley-esque rave up, and a couple of strong ballads.
They Might Be Giants: Flood - this album popped up as I tried to wrestle my iPod out of "shuffle" mode, and I couldn't stop listening. It put me in a great mood.
Otis Redding: Live in London and Paris - These shows have been chopped up and released in segments over various compilations over the years. This disc restores the shows in their all-too-brief entirety.
CCR with Booker T and the MGs - the CCR reissues had me diggin' out this bootleg of the summit of two legendary 60s bands.
Of course, Tommy's got me reachin' for Lady's Bridge and JShea is dead on with his Sam Cooke statement - I will definitely be under the influence of those two selections this week. Plus, I still have Johnny Cash's Personal file (home recordings from 1973) and Ben Folds' Way to Normal in the "bought but not yet listened to" pile.

| Mike Nesmith isn't at my fingertips at the moment, but the Nesmith reference has me reaching for The Byrds "Sweethearts of the Rodeo" this afternoon.
