| 1. Elvis - The Sun Collection 'Tryin' To Get To You' is probably 'the' Elvis song. It would have been his sixth single if he hadn't had moved to RCA with The Colonel. For me that song and this album are more playable than Heartbreak Hotel or Blue Suede Shoes. The sound they create (Bill Black and Scotty Moore) along with Presley's voice is just legendary. The album is always on my player, even nearly 60 years after the event. It's so pure, innocent, yet so powerfull
2. Elvis - Is Back! For the Blues tracks: 'Reconsider Baby', 'Like A Baby', and 'It Feels so Right'. And of course the rockin' 'Such A Night'. Probably Presley's best album.
3. Billy Fury - The 4oth Anniversary Anthology What a fantastic ballad singer the Fury was! Epic feel, epic build up, greatness indeed. He sang with a tender sadness and such honesty.
4. The Very Best Of Larry Norman 1956-2003 Volume 1. Christain music isn't something i usually listen to....Larry Norman was different. I heard 'The Roll that doesn't Roll' on a tape deck whilst learning to drive. I asked my instructor 'Who's that? It's brilliant!'. And so it began. Don't die before you've heard 'Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music?'.....original recording, not youtube drab.
5. Stray Cats - Stray 1 This sounded so modern in the 1980s.....it was as real as my 1950s albums...but these cats had the whole package, and they were alive. That guitar, bass and snare drum was blasted out of my room for years to come. I played a lot of air guitar lo
6. Ennio Morricone - A Fistful Of Dollars/ For A Few Dollars More/ The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. The music from these three spaghetti westerns bring back memories of my childhood and of course the classic films. For someone who didn't like cowboy films i think Clint Eastwood shot some ass. | |

| 1. Brian SETZER "Nitro Burnin' Funny Daddy" probably because it's his most personal album. 2. The Brian SETZER Orchestra "Songs From Lonely Avenue" for the fantastic "film noir" mood... 3. "Gene VINCENT & his Blue Caps" (2nd album, 1956) probably in my opinion the best 50's record. 4. Wes MONTGOMERY "Full House" all the genius from another under-estimated guitarist is here. 5. STRAY CATS "Choo Choo Hot Fish" for sure their best & most under estimated record. | |

| Thanks Brett. A number 6 could have been a live record from the (tragic) english tour in 1960 of Gene Vincent & Eddie Cochran because of the strong emotion inside all the tracks (Rocky Road Blues by Gene is just fantastic and Eddie's Milkcow Blues is too). Brett, can you give us yours ? | |
