I've seen him before in clips with strange guitars.
This must be a clip from a Dutch tv show. In an earlier Holland clip (Runaway Boys) he was playing an Ibanez Hollowbody for crying out loud.
How about this Country Club?
Is it his?

It could be his, but I doubt it. His main guitar back then was the "Stray Cat 6120", and he's never mentioned owning a Baldwin-era Country Club in any interview I've read. That said, Brian didn't remember having an identical back-up 6120 (old topic on the GretschPages, before he left the forum in a rage), although old concert footage shows otherwise.

It doesn't look like it's their instruments at all; look at Jim's snare stand - it has to be on top of a box to be tall enough for a standing drummer. I also think Lee's bass (in the vid) is too shiny and bright, plus it doesn't have the big sticker on the back. So it's probably backline provided for the show. It's playback anyway... Wink

Always to see vintage Stray Cats footage, though. Thanks for sharing.  Smile

I love that they are plugged in, and Brian stops strumming mid song and runs his hand through his hair to make sure the audience knows they hate lip sync'n for videos Smile
