| hello, I'm a big fan of brians sound.which preamp tubes used brian and which do I need for my bassman 63? i have Philips 6L6WGB - output tubes and i read, he used Chinese 12AX7. where does one get those? should I take ruby 12ax7ac5 (Hg or Hg+)? would be beautiful if could someone help me. sorry for my bad english best greets from germany...k. | |

| ive ordered some chinese ruby 12ax7ac5 HG tubes from this company in Berlin : http://www.banzaimusic.com/They are currently out of stock but expecting them in on 20th Jan I think the 'HG' means either 'select' or 'low microphonic' maybe someone can elaborate? | |

| thus is the sound of the "Ruby 12ax7aC5-HG (Select)" like the sound of brians NOS Chinese 12AX7? what is with the Ruby "12ax7aC5-Hg+"? has this tube too much gain? which preamp-tubes plays it with your bassmans? | |
