Just found this video...
Whats that pedal you'll see at the second bassman on stage... Look at 6:00 and you'll see how a "mystery hand" removes it... Calling out Mr. Special Agent Man Tavo to solve that puzzle! Wink

looks a little fuzzy, but it does look like the dunlop (MXR) tremolo pedal. Anyone have a verdict on these? I've been curious about them for a little while. I'd still rather have a swamp thang (big box dual stomp version even more so!)

I wonder if the tech actually removed it or grabbed it to adjust it. He seemed to pull it right before Brian switched to the baritone/bass part of the double neck - a section requiring extra "twang."

I'm a little miffed that he didn't do the "Stairway to Heaven" gag when he switched to the double neck. At the '68 Comeback show I saw, and on others I've heard, he would start playing the first 4 bars or so of "Stairway," striking this hilarious 70s guitar god pose. Then he would launch into "5 Years, 4 Months, 3 Days." I love that bit!

Man, I can't believe we're coming up on 10 years since the '68 Comeback Specials debut shows at the Belly Up and Coach House. Whatta great band! The Setz at the height of his powers, returning to the trio format for the first time since Stray Cats (there were still no trio sets in the Big Band tours.) And the release of Ignition was still 6-7 months away!

I love this Trio period as well. I just bought this bootleg incl. the Woodstock BSO show and 2 Trio Shows. Amazing stuff.
The crowd starts slowly but at the end they were all crazy. I guess it was hard work from time to time to support Tom Petty.

Anyway, great song:

The original would make your signal drop when the trem was engaged and it looks like
it was taking a poop (there is an ab-y splitter box sitting between both amps) so they
pulled it out.
