Sorry to say but I dont' own one (yet, maybe someday) but I got sort of rule of thumb for ya. Wink

And a link about Boss DM-2 for anyone else interested.

For rockabilly stuff I start like this, usually:
Length I like is somewhere about 110 - 113 milliseconds.
Since the DM2 doesn't have numbers you could use some other digital pedal that has and compare by ear.
Also, listen to songs like BSO "This Old House" and in the beginning of that song
there's a pretty cool delay pops to compare for.

Something like 3 audible pops is enough. (about 30 - 35 % in digital)

Then the mix od delay and pure signal depends on the song. Some songs wants more than others.

Currently Im using digital stuff so for me it's easy to set up but
for analog pedals, it's about using your ears.

Hope this helps.

Very Happy

Talking about delays, check in about 4:57min spot.

Retro-Sonic (vintage vibes) Analog Delay

Quote :
The Retro-Sonic Analog Delay is based heavily on the circuit from the original Boss DM-2 Delay pedal.
Using this classic design as a jumping-off point the pedal scientists at Retro Sonic kicked things up a notch
and added their own clever variations on the circuit.
They also cleaned up the signal path, giving the Analog Delay totally noise and hiss-free operation.

Well, I have not seen the schema so im not 100% sure tho.
Some "boutique" stuff is not always what they claim so one can save some serious
cash just checking out the facts before bying the hype.

It's rather expensive at close to 300 bucks at proguitarshop and elsewhere but I think it would sound pretty
sweet especially with a Timmy or BurnIt in front.
Wink

Here's the same Retro Sonic vid at proguitarshop

On the other hand, Skreddy Echo pedal is perdy sweet also since it has the warbles.
