WMG removing Stray Cat videos?

Does anybody know which subsidiary of WMG the Cats are on or were on that has resulted in at least music videos of 'Rock This Town' and 'Stray Cat Strut' being removed from YouTube? Maybe more but a quick search yields nothing. They yanked my video of 'RTT' this morning. Usually anything Brian related has been cool.

I take that back, I found a few 'RTT' but no 'SCS'. I wonder what's up?

I have my banned Rolling Stones' covers on Daily Motion and Vimeo. I still have my 'Honky Tonk Women' cover on YouTube and it's up to about 125,000 views and about 290 5 star ratings. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I was asking because I have some Stray Cat covers up as well so they'll probably remove those next. I still don't think the Cats are in any way connected to Warners Music Group. Thanks for the reply, Kelley.

In the "related videos" sidebar on your most recent recording I found a WMG-related video that included this comment:

"There is a troll pretending to be Warner Music Group. He is deleting all videos that are copyrighted by Warner Music Group and suspending their accounts. WarnerMusicGroup did not do it. It was WMG (The fake account)."

A couple months ago I had a video of mine removed. Not a guitar vid, it was actually my dogs, Rhythm and Blues, playing - I used the Bill Haley song for which the dogs were named as the soundtrack and in the description mentioned that fact. After I'd had it online for months and months I got a notice that it had been taken down because the copyright holder or some such had claimed it. Not sure if Haley stuff falls under WMG but I get the impression there are quite a few different artists and companies getting shitty about this stuff.

I think it's completely stupid, particularly with videos like yours. The fact that they grabbed Rock This Town and no other ones strikes me as really odd.

I have never claimed that my videos were anything special. With that said, I couldn't care less one way or another what you think about my videos. I own a '62 Bassman but I'm not going to blast out my family or my neighbors shooting a silly video.

I posted what I believed to be a very simple question and Andi was the only person who even attempted to answer it. This thread is a prime example of why I no longer frequent forums.
