| I got to see and hear that beauty at the Namm show played by an old fingerpicker. I couldnt stop looking at it with those outlined faux- white F holes and white pkup bobbins. As much as I dont like gold, that axe was stunning. Not to mention as classic an Atkins sound as I have heard on my father's recordings! Dream guitar for sure!
oh yah, It also partners with the Gretsch/ victoria amps perfect for that style! | |

| oh my gosh ive been dreaming about that guitar for years! its so awesome that theyre coming out with them. when he did Caravan it was amazing how the sound was split. um, i was reading that link to gretschpages that was posted and it says there had been confusion if the guitar was red or orange. i thought that was wierd because i have a book on chet's guitars with beautiful photos and info on many of his guitars (theres drool all over the pages) and theres 2 pages on the "CGP" as they call it. its totally orange man. no doubt about that. why didnt they just take a look at that guitar? they guys that wrote it wrote it with Chet. the end of the book is so sad though. soooo sad. chet writes a bit and says that by that time, he was very sick. he said he couldnt play much anymore and sometimes just sits with the guitar against him and strums it to feel the vibrations against his chest. i almost died when i read that | |
