See the Setzer tribute guitar special DVD for 24hrs

Okay, we've all wondered about seeing that "special DVD" that came with
the tribute guitar..less than 59 folks actually own one and less have seen
the DVD..

I'm sharing mine for the next 24hrs, but you have to promise to never
ever spend your money on such a self indulgent guitar.
Not trying to sound judgemental here, but hald of the money spent
on that guitar could be put to better uses as the SSLVO could
be purchased for $2700, then you could buy a list of household products
from Home Depot and relic it for under $50. You'd still have to send it
to a real luthier for a proper fret dressing and set up if you want it
to respond and feel as good (very very few high end gretsch guitars
have proper fret dressing straight from japan,proper neck bow,bridge
and saddle setup,pickup adjustment)...all to say another $200
and for just under $3000, you will have a guitar that sounds and feels
real "close" to a tribute.
I had the SSU,SSL, SSH,and SSLVO under my roof and they all are
spectacular guitars compared to the super sexy tribute guitar I got to
play when it first came out. No doubt it has the best attention paid to it
in materials and construction.... No doubt the highest honor to the
finest guitarist I have spent my whole life looking up to..but ehh...

The SSLVO and RHH model gretsch nashvilles Kick ass when done right.

What great fun to see the genuine thrill on Brian's face as he takes in the incredible detail on the guitar. I loved the stories as well. And now my brain is buzzing with all those riffs and hooks from "13." I'll definitely be playing that one on the way to MN tomorrow.

thanks alot TV. I did get a chance to play one in Salt Lake a while ago and man it was a very fine guitar and it played incredibly. sooo smooth. but i did have a refretting on my SSLVO and it play just about the same. thanks again for posting this for us. great stories.

That was awesome, thank you so much Tavo. It was really interesting to hear him talk about all the little details he'd forgotten about or hadn't really ever considered. You know what I thought was weird though? I think we see him play in the vid but never hear him play (and of course it's hard to know whether he's holding his own guitar or one of the tributes!!) I'm gonna go watch it again! Then I'm gonna go play my SSLVO!



(BTW Tavo you can get an SSLVO for a lot less than $2700....)

Thanks for the link TV! The video is excellent promo for 13 as well as the guitar. It's too bad there wasn't some footage of Setzer actually jamming on one. I'm still not a fan of the guitar though. I would much rather have an SSLVO or my own '99 SSU. I never liked the look of that empty mud switch.
