I remember seeing the Stray Cats for the first time back in 1982 here in SF at the Old Waldorf. It was an absolutely amazing show and it changed my life. I really enjoy seeing old clips and thanks again for posting that one Kelley. I loved that so much I posted it on my "myspace" page.

I bought Gonna Ball when it first came out in late 1981. I got it on vinyl and neither me nor my friends had record players. It took months before I found it on cassette and could actually listen to it. I really love it ,the first two Cats albums are my favourites. Same happened 2 years later when Rant N'Rave came out. I could only get it on vinyl and I had to hitch a ride to my aunts house who lived 20 miles away so I could hear it for the first time and copy it onto a blank c90 cassette. The Cats were never that big in Ireland except maybe in Dublin and Northern Ireland so nobody I knew had thier records. The first albums I ever owned were the Cats first 2 albums ,then a Gene Vincent compilation ,then Eddie Cochran and Elvis Compilations. Followed by 2 albums in 1982 by the Jets( a great UK rockabilly group). I still have the Cats first album on cassette that I bought in May 1981. It still works. Now though ,I have all thier stuff on CD and Vinyl and stored on my PC.
