Songs From Lonely Ave, cheap at Target!

I should have waited for a release day purchase rather than pre-order. Not only did I have to pay more, but I still don't have the disc!

My dad tells me the Target near where he's staying didn't even have it. Another one here in town had it for $9.99 instead of $8.99 - apparently each store prices product as they choose. I'm actually home sick today (!!) so I'm enjoying browsing the liner notes and packaging as I listen! Worth it even for $1 extra

Sigh. I was just informed by the hubby that I can't purchase the disk....

He pre-ordered it for my birthday. Hopefully it will get here before then. I can't wait to hear this record!

I've heard others say that it's not available in their local Target as well. No point in me checking. Hopefully it will be in today's mail.

My Target only had THREE copies. And at 9.99

But ONLY THREE COPIES?!?!

Oh- and it was IMPOSSIBLE to find. It wasn't in the "New Releases" section (that was taken over by the all the new Xmas music, like Harry Connick Jr's 27th Xmas CD), and I couldn't find it anywhere. had to have an employee look it up in her little handheld computer.. "so that's S-e-t-s-u-r?" Riiiiiiiiight.....

It was in the "Best Sellers Pop/Rock" section, not even in alphabetical order, just 3 lonely copies on the bottom shelf. I wonder how long the other 2 copies will sit there.

I called Target and they received a whopping TWO copies of 'Lonely Avenue! Whoa! They held one for me and when I went to pick it up, I brought a print out of the $8.99 "ad" on BS.com. The clerk looked at me like I was on crack when I showed it to him and when he scanned it, he told me it was $9.99. I asked him if his manager could fix that for me and he went ahead and gave it to me for $8.99. Sure, I'd have paid the $9.99 for it, but just once I'd like for something to be the way it's stated it's supposed to be. At the end of the transaction, he handed me the receipt that asked if I would take one of those surveys to let them know how the customer service is. No wonder he rung it up at $8.99.

Yep, for as many times as I have gazed at that front cover since it was unveiled, I missed it in the bottom middle of the best sellers section too. Couldn't miss the full endcap for the new Pearl Jam release, though. Rassin' frackin'....

Obviously nobody else has good taste in music like we all do.

I will wait for the Japanese edition to come up... now that I am ruined with the special package and the pictured disc... i don't mind spending 15 extra Euro on the Japanese pressing...

I had to stop at Target to grab some groceries on my way home from work, but, of course, had to look and see if the disc was in, just to check out the album artwork by some person we all know. (You're Welcome )

They had a little card to where the CD would be, but they were all out.
That must have meant there were about 55-75 copies and they sold out before about 5pm today. At least, that is what I am telling myself because there are so many darn loyal fans here in beautiful Apple Valley, MN.

Got the email from Amazon that my copy was shipped this morning, HOPEFULLY will be here by Wednesday!

I am excited, and am very anxious to sit down and listen to the new record!

Aw, BK you rock!! Seeing the back cover for the first time was quite a thrill but my name in the liner notes, right there for anyone to read... ohmygosh it gives me chills every time I look at it!!

And yeah, I am excited for EVERYONE to sit down and listen to the new record. 13 different kinds of awesome.
