Hey Sharky,
Looking at the Cabbie...and one of the things that I've read about it are some complaints with the p/u's. Knowing nothing about guitars ... please note that I'm asking this question for a friend of mine. Can the p/u's be replaced in this guitar?

And, what is your honest review of playing/owning this guitar?

Hey! Thanks for looking. Honestly, I have not any problems with the pickups at all. They are not as hot sounding as my Les Paul, but they still produce some nice bite, especially with my tube amps. I have used them with various pedals and with a clean sound and they sound very good for the price. I do believe that they can be replaced. I'd love to hear this thing with a set of TV Jones filtertrons - could be very cool. Tavo surely knows if this could be done.

yes..and FWIW, all gretsch guitars should have tvjones pkups in them. Gretsch needs to sop putting the lame pkups it has japan making for them.

Well, they both sold - sort of.

The Jet was shipped today. Someone in Texas won the Cabbie but did not pay. It's been more than 48 hours, so I may have to relist that one. If you had your sights set on the Cabbie, hold on, it may be offered again later in the week.

The guy contacted me and said he'd pay on Wednesday. If so, I'll now be Bigsby-less.
