| Hello HDVDL Cats. I have decided to make a group on facebook to help support HDVDL in the realm of making more and more people aware of who we are and where we are. I think it is a very safe assessment to say that Mandi has done a fantastic job at making this one of the most awesome fansites I have ever been a part of, and I love the atmosphere here, no matter what is being discussed. I view the facebook group as a great way to get more people here. Got friends on facebook who love Setzer music? Boom, roasted. https://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=76956334737Don't have facebook? No worries, just please keep supporting the website and keeping this place going. I just wanted to take a moment and thank Mandi and all of the other Moderators who keep this place up to date by offering my time to get a facebook group going and hopefully will get more members here!!! Happy Wednesday to you all. -BK | |

| I do hope you chatted with Mandi about your idea as she is the owner of all things "HDVDL".. maybe she'll think its great. maybe?
I dont know how to feel about it I guess simply because I LIKE the fact you cant just readily happen upon this site.. its the "real" fan website.
or.. maybe I'm now concerned that all the nosey bastards on facebook will sign up just to "rummage". or.. maybe further publicity will cause another surge of spam hell for us moderators...
maybe I'm just being negative. its late and need to sleep on it ...forgive my initial pessimism

| I don't think it's a big deal either way, but you should just check in with Mandi... The Lounge has a MySpace Page, so why not one on FaceBook?
My 2-cents... where's my change? Budge

and handling will be $9.95. EXCELLENT!!! I should be able to pay that in a few weeks... turns out I have a dead relative living in Nigeria that just passed away and I am the closest living relative!! His lawyers are being SO helpful in tracking me down and getting me my inheritance, I can't even begin to express my gratitude! All I have to do on my end is to send them a thousand dollars and provide them with my bank account # and my mother's maiden name so they can transfer poor dear departed dead Uncle Barrington's millions right into my account... Do you think I should offer the lawyers a tip to show my grattitude?? Or would that be tacky? Anyhoo, I'm sure I won't be around here anymore with buying houses and yachts taking up most of my time. Though AM thinking of hiring the BSO to play a little "Bon Voyage, Uncle Barry!" party I'm planning. Budgie T. Ritchie, Millionaire

Budgie T. Ritchie, Millionaire I beat you to the punch, turns out that Uncle Barry had a penchant for cinnamon girls and his mail order bride knocked a few out kids. She abandoned them so I adopted all 5. I'm teaching them how to play some mean funk, I think this might all pay off soon!

| I like Brian's ideas and sure that Mandi will agree... but what we really miss the most is briansetzer.com as an official and fan site at the same time |

I know many enjoyed that, I never liked the official site felt like an airport terminal or shopping mall..huge and impersonal

I know many enjoyed that, I never liked the official site felt like an airport terminal or shopping mall..huge and impersonal Here's my opinion, take it or leave it. I think it's great that you (BK) want to promote Setzer and create another gathering place for his fans. But, I agree with TV's first impression about your suggestion (the possibility of it being a headache, and the chance of the site being corrupted again...) I like the fact that this place is a little bit hidden, and people need to search a bit for it. It seems to keep the forum "real" and not full of alter egos. Just consider all of the repercussions of the your decision before you make it. And that being said, last time I checked, we still live in a free country, so make your decision the best way that you see fit. Take care, hrg

| Another suggestion can be to create a Brian Setzer fan on the facebook and recommend this board... it's less compromising |
