Ahaha, I don't want Federer in the final, you already know that, but if he's meant to be... hope he cries again as he did in Australia (kind of because he can hardly beat Nadal XD) and does not even out Pete Sampras 14 GS record... Grass season is comin in 10 days!!!!
BTW, have you realised that the Masters Cup is no longer in Shanghai but in London??? At the same time, no more Hamburg MS... the final MS of the season is in Shanghai!

Ok but... Roger will be there too ! What a match versus Del Potro ! Sunday we have some work : the "French" final and the turkish Grand Prix !! Do not forget the beers...

I thought for an instance that Del Potro winning could be possible and he had it in his hands... but great recovery from Roger in the 4th and 5th sets...
Nadal won't be at Queen's due to his injured knee... dammit! I feel really bad for Nadal since his play style is very much physical rather than technical (as Roger's for instance is), so that he over-exercises his body and by the end of the 5th month of competition he is completely tired!!

Why not??? I´ll tell you.... cause is not his time yet.
Nadal can loose a championship, but he won´t loose them all. Plus he has lots of points gained against Federer..... so it will take a while for him to be back at top.
Said that, Federer is a great player, excellent, amazing... one of the all-time best players.... just as Nadal.
So, the court will place them in their place as time goes by.
Plus... I don´t personally care much if Nadal is number 1 and Federer is number 2, or backwards.... cause they both are amazing, but none of them can always win ALL the championships.
The best thing is the respect and admiration they have to each other.... something we all fans should follow.

by the way.... the Spanish girls won the "Female - doubles Final" at Roland Garros.... so we don´t have Nadal as a winner this year, but at least we got the ladies.... it is a good exchange for our national tennis. Actually, it is their Second Year in a Row, Winning ROLAND GARROS. Not bad, huh?

This said, the final will be hard because Soderling plays actually perfectly. His victory versus Nadal was not an "accident".
Nadal is 5 years younger than Federer, do not forget it.
Said that.... Federer will win Roland Garros this year. He is a great player.
I don´t get the discussion though. BOTH are great:
Grand Slam:
Federer 13 Nadal 6
ATP Masters Series / ATP World Tour Masters 1000:
Federer 15 Nadal 15
Is one of them great, and the other one sucks? NO.
Are they both amazing players? YES.
then.... what´s the battle about??????

I bet even in 5 years Nadal will be under Roger about the number of Grand Chelem tournaments won. As the excellent FrenchyCat said, I respect Nadal even if I do not like his style (and haircut)
Anyway, today is the Finale day. Soderling has been amazing since the beginning or the French. If he resists to the pressure, he can win. On the other side, Roger with his 13 Grand Chelem victories but his third final at Roland and the loss of the two firsts... The match can be "undecided".

Sorry to all the French who read and participate in this forum but for sure that very few French like when a Spaniard wins Roland Garros. The Spaniards are the best on clay.... from Sergi Bruguera to Nadal going through Moya, Corretja, Ferrero.... and it's been ages since a French won Roland Garros.
I don't want to make a "racist" comment out of this, which is not my intention, but truth is that this is going on for quite a long time. Anytime a Spaniard is playing, lots of whistle, boos.... are heard from the audience and thruth is (too) that the French audience is as impolite as any other crowd on earth. If I were the referee, I would vacate the venue as soon as a naughty comment would appear.
Going back to Nadal-Federer topic.... out of 20 times they've played together.... Nadal has won 13, and 7 for the Swiss; this indicates something. Maybe that Nadal never reaches Roger's number of victories, but as David has said, he is 5 years younger and he has nearly won everything: Roland Garros, Wimbledon, Aussie Open, Olympic Games, Davis Cup.... and he doesn't cry when he loses
Anyway, best of lucks for Soderling!!

Congrats to all the Federer's fans...
Soderling... badly done: you defeated Nadal just to lose the final??? You can't be serious folk!

Yeah, that's right : we never agree with you.
This afternoon, Roger FEDERER won his 14 th Grand Chelem tournament after being attacked by a stupid "spanish" hooligan. He's now one of the rare player who have won the whole 4 Grand Chelem tournaments.
About spanish players, you talk before thinking as often : if I do not like Nadal or Bruguera, I was a fan of Ferrero, Corretja or Moya, three fantastic tennismen.
Subject: Re: SODERLING stronger than Nadal ! Sun Jun 07, 2009 2:43 pm
by the way... you can keep on throwing crap at Nadal and Alonso... but I can´t even remember the name of a single French tennis player or pilot..... help me out please, cause it was probably ages ago since one of your people has won something....
I love this... it reminds me when I was young and your people didn´t allow our trucks in your country. You gotta admit there has always been a little bit of hate between France and Spain
Have a great nite. And let your anger go away..... it makes no sense to fight for little things.

OK David & Jon, I don't think it's worth to begin a war between spanish and french fans in this forum dedicated to Brian Setzer. This topic is about sport and we must have a fair attitude. Regarding what I think, believe me when I say I don't like Nadal because of his style; and if he's spanish I don't care about it, it's not my problem: even if he would be french, I won't like him! Jon, you know I was behind when you were banned. David, some fans shook you a little and I was with you too. So don't play that stupid game of you're french, I'm spanish, you're impolite, we're the best everywhere! French people were rude during Nadal/Soderling. Sorry but the swedish player said today, just after the defeat that the french public was the best! Now, it seems for you that Soderling decided to lose !! Are you a bad loser at this point? Nadal is 5 years younger, but do you really think he'll win everything from tomorrow to 2014? Can't he have some physical problems (I promptly add I don't wish that!)? Are you sure another new champion can't be born in 2 or 3 years? Dear Jon, sometimes you're so sure for what you're saying, it's terrifying! Maybe it's because you're a young man but remember, you can't plan life...
So, this tournament was for Federer, I'm happy, you not, but it's just sport. The next one will be, perhaps, for Nadal.
I hope you'll understand what I wanted to express. Your replies will give me the answer.

I´m playing no game. I´ve never had a problem with anyone from France just for being French. Actually, one of my best friends ever is French, and i´m speaking about a real friend, not about a "cyber friend".
By the way... that dude that "attacked" Federer, was not Spanish. He was Catalan, from Barcelona. I know Barcelona is in spain, but that particular guy is one of those who claims the Independence of Catalonia from Spain.... so I wouldn´t consider him a "spanish" hooligan. He is just a fuckin idiot we also hate in Spain. Do you see the flag he carries???? that´s NOT the flag of Spain, but the Flag of Barcelona. I really hope that jerk spends the night in jail and pays a fine for his stupid act. Unfortunately he got what he wanted: popularity and attention.
I think we all should learn from Federer and Nadal. Two champs, who actually like and respect each other very much, and they prove it EVERY TIME they play against each other. No matter who wins, the winner always has great words for the other, as well as the looser always says nice words about the other... and they never sound fake, at least, to me.
And again.... I have no problems with your country. I just find it funny how your pal jumped on our backs!
