| Hmmmm.. I dont know man. The video really didnt start until 3:50 into it. When I watch those japanese guitarist (this is a cultural observation NOT race as I am enthralled by Japan, its people-culture-history-technology-art) an american blues officionado,it gives me the same feeling as as say a European Soccer officionado would feel watching our american soccer team. You know? We might play soccer and have professional teams but.... We can only try to be like the Europeans at their own game. All to say, there is no battle on that stage heehee, more of a pageant! Setzer rolled up their licks and smoked em like a fat cigar! enjoyed it though and the pink cowboy has got the BLUES!! I like his amalgamation of Jeff Beck meets Stevie Ray Vaughn. | |

| I'm not a big fan of that. Sorry but for me this type of performance on the guitar it has always been shit!
Fortunately, Setzer has a leopard jacket!

Just the Gretsch and a loud bassman and it sounds awesome. But i guess BS didn`t saw it really like a battle. It was just fun. I think it was more fun than this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru3Znm8fG4ABut Brian looked cool at that time... - tvthewiredturtle wrote:

| Hey folks, I understand why some of you don't really like tha Hotei, Setzer & Char performance... we are not used to seeing Brian playing in such situation but I was really thrilled when Setzer was called to play on that ocassion; he is doing something different, with two wonderful guitar players... but I really love it abd the second solo by Char is superb. I think that Brian could hardly rehearse for that show since he is constantly trying to fill in all the gaps waiting for his turn to solo, don't you think or is it just my impression???
Tavo, try to find "Crossroads" from that Paul Rodgers show.... Brian's solo kicks ass!! |

There is no way to judge anything a man is thinking or really feeling by some concert footage we view, but my conjecture is that He probably really enjoys playing now and then with other guitar slingers to keep things interesting.
