Don't resist! Collecting Vinyl is awesome. I'm not really a collector but whenever I see something cool at yardsales for a small price I buy it. I haven't found any cool Rockabilly yet but I bought some CCR stuff recently.
I have a few friends who are record collectors and I always drool over the cases they bring to record hops:

Thanks Rick! It has been one heckuvan incredible ride. For as much as some people may think Surfdog is nothing but money-grubbing bastards, that is the polar opposite of what I personally have experienced - they have been the nicest, most attentive and most generous people I've dealt with in a long time. At the very least I expected actually getting the guitar to take a while - I certainly didn't expect to have it before the Murphys show - and here we are. I definitely have a whole new respect for them and there's no way I can ever thank them enough for what they've done for me.

As for the Gretsch family, I think I only need one guitar - the SSLVO will be much better served living with someone else who is passionate about playing. Still thinking on it.

Hmmm....the BSO and Oneida Casino gave away a signed guitar to a lucky winner of a drawing back in '02 at the Christmas Extravaganza tour that year. The guy who won it got to go up on stage and receive it from Brian himself. If I remember correctly, it was a purple guitar. I wonder if this is the same one?
