I'll be glad if the BSO tours the US for the US fans... but when it comes to being a bit objective, hope they DON'T!!! Another tour playing the same sutff???

He said elsewhere, "This is the first time in thirty years I won't be touring. I think I've earned it." I'm thinking that means no. Can't fault him for that. And hey, at least this time nobody already bought tickets.

Let's be happy for the times we HAVE seen him, and spend that money on our family and friends this year.

(I'm just glad I won't be able to give into the temptation to shell out the cash for the Meet and Greet again. 'Cause I would. In a heartbeat. Even though the hospital still claims I owe 'em $6000!)

If this is true, it's just sad. Too bad, there's a lot of people out there who really enjoy seeing the BSO at Christmas time. It's been going on for so long now, that it's a family tradition to get all gussied up and have a grand night out on the town celebrating the season and seeing a great show. I feel bad for all of the orchestra musicians that rely on the tour to help make ends meet. Hopefully they'll be able to find other gigs to fill in the gap.

Oh well. Hopefully Mr. Setzer will get the bug to tour again, and who knows...maybe we'll get a non-Christmas BSO tour next year? A girl can only hope.

It is a shame that there's no tour happening, I was pretty bummed about it too. Last year was my first time checking out the BSO Christmas show, and I liked it a lot. Oh well, we might see him on the road early next year, if not Christmas.

He canceled the Xmas tour also, a couple of years ago, as I recall. If he doesn't feel like touring during the Holidays, I can certainly understand that, so why not just do a televised special? I know the dvd at Universal (Gibson) is available from several years ago (I was actually at that show!), but a new one to include a number or 2 off of Wolfgang or Lonely Ave would be a good way to give fans some holiday entertainment, without the tour hassles. I always enjoy seeing him live, but if he's not into it this year, better he stay home, than give us a show when he's really not "feeling" it. Musicians don't do their audiences or themselves any favors when they tour burned out.

Right around the time of the Montreal show, the admin for his official Facebook page said there was an announcement for a New Years Eve show coming up soon. People were guessing west coast USA cities and the admin said that area was correct but wouldn't narrow it down.

I haven't seen anything further though.

I can certainly understand him wanting a break though! He tours so much overall.

I would prefer they put together a non-Xmas show for 2011 ....... either way i'll go .
