Dear Stray Cats,

If you feel you need a loophole to escape this "Farewell" business, you could always drag a keyboard and saxophonist (and perhaps Dave Edmunds) along and tour as Stray Cats: the Widescreen Edition.

That wasn't just good, it was GREAT! Look at That Cadillac, Wild Saxophone, Red Hot, Rip It Up, any number of songs could be added to the setlist with a sax and keys added to the mix.

Wow, great clip indeed!
It's so cool to see a live performance of a track like Wasn't That Good.
There's a version of Baby Blue Eyes on youtube that looks like it's from the same show.
It'll be fantastic if more songs from that show start to appear.
Gotta go and check it out another 15 times I think

I think the saxophone player might be Mel Collins. Don't recognise the piano man...

I think they are Mel Colins and Ian Stewart ; the guys toured with the Cats while the"Gonna Tour". I remember... In february 1982, I saw them like that : 5 Stray Cats ! (but they did not play Wasn't That Good...)

This is the first time I heard (and watch !) Wasn't That Good live.

This performance comes from a show called Musical Express, broadcasted by the Spanish Public TV, called TVE, in the 80´s.

The host of the show was this guy, Angel Casas:





Every week they had different bands in there playing live. You can do some research on youtube and the internet about the show if you want.

Anyone who has the whole concert and can make a DVD???

Any of y'all know that you can get a better quality ( sound & opic ) on the YouTube clips if you add

to the URL of the clip ?

Just choose any clip you like, go to the address line on top, click on it and add that little group of characters, then press enter. It should re-load.

If it says WATCH IN NORMAL QUALITY underneath the clip window, you are watching the best quality version .....
