Stray Cat, Slim Jim Phantom and King Bee, Jaime James at The Brixton Club, Redondo Beach 6/17/2010

Hey friends, my name is Spike, and I play in the premiere 'hulabilly' band, The Hula Girls. The premiere? Well, maybe the ONLY hulabilly band... Haha... Anyway, I just wanted to invite everyone in 'the lounge' to come see us play with Stray Cat drummer, Slim Jim Phantom and King Bees guitar slinger and singer, Jaime James. They will be playing Stray Cats, King Bees, and rockabilly classic songs all night!

Hey man! It went well... I mean considering the NBA finals were that night. It's hard for me to say this without sounding like a jerk, but we drew the most that night. It wasn't packed, by any means.... And Jaime wasn't really super exciting (though it was rad to hear him do some old Kingbees songs!)... Jim was awesome as always. He's such an exciting drummer. I kept looking up there wishing Brian was on the guitar!

When we were getting off stage and Jim was getting ready to go up, he stopped me and was like, 'That was cool man, like really really good!' Pretty cool to hear that from a guy who is in the band that might have influenced me the most... I've only seen a couple of pictures turn up from the event. None of Jim yet. My phone died right before we played. I'll keep and eye out though...




We actually DID just play Palm Springs! Here's a poster I designed and printed for the event.

Why am I not surprised, I miss all the cool stuff(and that picture looks like you guys put on a cool show).

of your skills with the pen/brush/ink/mouse! I wanted a really cool

One of my favourite Bars in munich is kinda tiki themed.
It's called "Peppermint Lounge"
Its filled with original 50s furniture and hasa great vibe!
