Tennessee Stomp sounds great, by the way. Violets in May is positively stunning! Who knew you had that in ya? Superb songwriting, tight harmonies, sure. I expected that. But blewgrass? Yes, I said "blew" - as in "blew me away." Fantastic song.

My 13-year-old daughter was loading some of your stuff onto her iPod. She said, "iTunes has HBC listed as 'Alternative and Punk,' 'Country,' and now, Tennessee Stomp is listed as 'Unclassifiable.' What do you think?"

I said, "I think iTunes finally got it right. Unclassifiable it is."

I mean it. Take the latest album, for instance. There's rockabilly, jump blues, rock-n-roll, metal - (tell me you can't hear Lemmy belting out "Tennessee Stomp"), bluegrass, and swamp blues (love that Slim Harpo groove on "I Was Made for Loving You.") The Hillbilly Casino is not a great rockabilly band. They are a great band. Period.

Although the heat index was well below 112 (FINALLY!!!) it was definitely a HOT show in Omaha! THANK YOU again for road trippin' to the big 'O'! My friends & I had a blast! Hope you had a safe drive...I wish I could've let you know every State Trooper was out on the road tonight, hope you had safe travels!!

Sorry I missed the show, guys. I had some plans with my 7-year-old to which I had previously committed, on this last weekend before school starts. She's not the HBC fan my older one is, so swimmin' pools and ice cream won out over tats and twang. I hope you a great time in Omaha and that your tip jar runneth over.

I'll be on your website a little more dutifully so I do a better job of planning ahead next time. Omaha, Lincoln, KC, Sioux City, Des Moines... I'll be there.
