Albert internal mods should precede external mods for the greatest results, although my buddy swapped in a greenback in his with some JJs and I actually like a modern fender amp for a couple of minutes. BillM mods has it down! | |

| I have the NOS blues jr and had the Billm mods done. It's better, but still not a bassman or twin reverb by any means. Heck, its not even a blues deluxe reissue. I particularily think the presence control and the mids twins stack mods do the most to take away some of the boxyness inherant in the 12" speaker stuffed in a small open back cabinent situation. Overall, I'd say it sounds a bit more tweedy when over driven than it used to. I have yet to change any tubes or speaker. One of these days it will be JJs and a celestion, and then I'll realize I should have saved my money and bought a blondeshell. | |
