| Need help once again please. I just got a LP with BSO called Dirty Session. Side A is straight live stuff from the Dirty Boogie period. Side B is interesting
1. The dirty boogie 2. Jump Jive and wail 3. Rock This Town 4. Let's live it up 5. Jingle bells
Track 1-4 sound to me like recorded in a radio studio. Track 5 is a live track for sure.
Does anyone in here knows anything about this album and these tracks?
Cheers

| It's one of those Japan bootlegs with a black cover with a small sticker on the right top of the cover. I've got a lot of these releases by now, mostly with the Stray Cats, one Tom Cats, and a few BSO ones,. I guess they will be very rare in 20 years from now. Seams to me like only a few is made of each release. Maybe pressed in someones livingroom, but in a good quality. I don't know who's doing these, by someone in Japan I guess. Ebay is the place to find stuff like this. Maybe BB knows something about these releases?
Cheers

Jess I am not 100% positive, but I think the radio segment might be the "World Cafe" program, recorded on November 23, 1998 at WXPN-FM Studios in Philadelphia, PA. Of the many promo appearances the BSO did in '98, that's the only 4-song, live, in-studio FM radio performance I know of for that year. I hope that helps a little. | |
