| In the add, it does'nt say that it is 180 gram vinyl,so have e-mailed them. Have just had my Linn Sondek serviced, and fitted a new phono stage and new power supply, and added a new dynavector 17d3 cartridge. 40 hours or so to run in,but it sound so hot now! Mark. | |

| Thanks Rass!
However, I must say there's nothing better that the first edition/pressing to an album. As a collector, that's the best (at least in my opinion) unless the reissue contains something new (ex: Blast Off Finnish edition 2004) |

| Cheers Bob, i see you are a vinyl man too! Dr P from the hi-fi shop Cymbiois, was up here in Scotland,at my friends. So i was able to get the new cartridge fitted,he spent a further 3 hours setting it up. The outcome is blinding. I have since gotten the 180gram LP, from the US "acoustic sounds" There is no booklet with it. Not been on the forum much, just been either up listening in my room or off my work again, taken a little replapse,of my condition. Was wanting to read all this Aussie/ N/Zealand posts. I bet its gone down a storm! Jim i hope your wrist is ok? Mark. | |

| can you help ol'skool here understand why this is any better than my original stray cat LPs, other than they have been played waaay too many times throughout high school! I'm the kind of nut that will continue to buy each remastered remaster, just because. | |

I'm the kind of nut that will continue to buy each remastered remaster, just because. 180 g vinyl is heavier than standard vinyl and that is better for the soundquality. Here is one company that made high quality recordings ( just for exemple ) http://www.mofi.com/productcart/pc/viewcontent.asp?idpage=4 | |

| Weeks have now past, since getting the 180gram LP, "Built for speed". I must say that i wanted to run my cartridge in first. Well i must confess to be'ing very dissapointed with this LP. The sound quality, is not up to the standard copy! It sounds dry, harsh, and is not a pleasure to listen too? whats the beef EMI, did you take it from the wrong mix? I got a copy for my mate, so while at his house, the seal was broken and the disc placed on the spinning platter, my lips stayed sealed. We listened.....................Thats *hite he said! He had the original copy, i gave him, so it was placed on the platter, WOW..........Music! NUFF said. Any one noticed this? Wee Mark. | |

| Well if my mate can pick this out, in seconds, then yes it is very Pure! His Sondek is latest spec, and he has spent loads of ££££££'s on it
The vinly, has just been so good to listen too.
