man..I've been watching fox news hd all day keeping watch of these fires. heart wrenching and doesnt appear like media news hype that happens in so cal all the time.
We're trying to find out if any of our family has been affected although most live around sydney

Tragic. How are people going to recover from this? Wow. I couldn't make it through all of the pictures, it was just too much. I can't imagine living through this, prayers to all affected by this.

If any of these fires were intentionally set....God help the people who did it. I hope that justice will be served, although with this amount of loss and devastation, I'm not sure what would constitute justice.

The alloy wheels melting into little metal rivers blew my mind. That's a HOT fire.

It's so unbelievable the way peple have reacted to these fires.
I'm not sure how many Victorian's are here but the good news is rollin' in,

I live about 40 minutes away from Kinglake, so the last few weeks have been rough but last night we had rain!!
First decent shower since December, not enough to put the fires out, but enough to put the towns that have been under MAJOR threat these few weeks....Safe.

There's still 4 large fires burning, but the weather is on our side and "we see the light at the end of the tunnel"
