| I just got a call from the OC! The Stray Cats are rockin' out to 7 Nights to Rock! Man, I sure hope someone is recording it. I know me and Twenty Flight Rick are BIG fans of that tune, and from what I could tell over the phone, it's one hell of a rockin' version. A little bird told me that Mike Ness may turn up on the encore for I Fought the Law. I can't wait to hear all about it!

| Damn right! 7 Nights is a great tune. I would love to hear the Cats' version. Is it Texas swing like the original? Jump blues/roadhouse like the E Street version? Or is it done in a faster more Rockabilly arrangement? So many questions! Thanks again Rick for the Moon Mullican tracks. I'm kinda cravin' some Texas swing right about now!

| I only heard it over a cell phone, but it sounded somewhere between roadhouse and rockabilly, and pretty damn fast. Somehow I have a feeling I'll be hearing it again. I'll keep ya posted, Rick! By the way, Brian's knee appears in fine form, so I'm back to being in the dark about a reason for the cancellation of the Xmas Extravaganza. Based on the interview I just read with Brian that was conducted by The Living End's Chris Cheney, it would seem Brian really is a bit road weary: Setzer InterviewMoon Mullican-billy | |

BR549 - 7 nights to rock I agree, real cool version of that unknown song for me! I wonder what the Cats' version looks like... probably a great one, like each cover they made!! FrenchyCat | |

| If you guys still haven´t, you should get BR549 records. They are a great band, and they have lots of rockabilly/hillbilly influence in them. I recommend you their first cd, that goes under the same name "BR549", and "Big Backyard Beat Show", which is the one where you will find 7 Nights To Rock along with other super great songs. It is hard to catch them now playing live, since there has been a bit on transformation in their line-up thru the years. At this point Don Herron, is currently touring with Bob Dylan all over the world, and that is making them not being able to go out on tour. They´ve been several times to Europe, and they used to play every night for years all over the USA. They were/are amazing musicians and great friendly people. Go to your record shop, to Ebay, or download their music for free.... but give them a listen. They are great. A few years ago they where the support band for Brian Setzer. Our friend Geoff Firebaugh (Hillbilly Casino) played bass for them for a few years as well. They all were amazing!
