anyone own ELVIS - the movie w/ Kurt Russell??

Been tryin to find a decent DVD version of this 79' made for
Television movie to share with my family.. why is it unobtanium for
less than my left kidney?

Have you checked the libraries in your area? I think sometimes they might have more "made for TV" movies than retail stores. If you're just lookin' for a flick for family movie night.

If you're looking to buy it, and the library has it, you could always ask them when they're going to "purge" their shelves next & ask to be sent an e-mail or something.

Just a thought.

Good luck Tavo, really hard to find movie, It has as far as I know never been officially released on DVD, I seriously doubt a library would have it.

I used to have a copy of a copy on VHS, never seen it since!

Kurt Russells portrayal of Elvis is the best I have seen!

I hate sounding dramatic but it was life inspiring for me because from
day one I was the child of Elvis fans. Mom saw him as a teen and they
were all cryin' the day he died...
So.. in 79' when it was on TV, I saw one of my childhood actors portraying
Elvis so it was somehow life impacting.

My poor 6yr old's middle name is "Presley"!! anyway.. It was suppose to have been released 8-07 and VHS versions are floating
around. Perhaps the library is a resource.

I have also long sought ( in France).
This film was not released on DVD officially!
I don't know why!
