That's really a good thing about the other board beeing closed. In fact almost everybody I would have missed is here now, and this forum is harder to find.

Unfortunately, the world isn't any worse than it ever was...just all on video these days. Terrible...

I don't understand this shit. To go ahead and do something like this in the first place, you obviously don't like the band (to put it like that ). So why even "waste" your money on a ticket? You know you're gonna get caught, you know you're gonna get your ass kicked by security, fans, whatever. Stupid, stupid, STUPID!

In another post, somebody said the crowd needs to be searched before entering the building. Not good enough! They need to have a friggin' IQ test!!!!

I feel like I'm stating the obvious, but with the high prevalence of video cameras around, and the easy accessibility to the internet and you tube, people with the mentality of a tin can are rushing for their 15 minutes of fame. Unfortunately, some of them are getting way more then 15 minutes....

You just may have hit on something, hrg. Everybody wants to be on camera these days, and it seems like people are willing to do anything to make it. I don't get it, but I'm old and cranky...

After the Dimebag thing, this has to be scary as hell to have this kind of stuff happen.

No artist deserves to be assaulted this way (or any other way), no matter how big a twit they are. They're doing their job and they're doing it for the fans. Robbie was very professional. At least he didn't go off his nut like Josh did, but under the circumstances, it is understandable. Paul Stanley from Kiss had the same problem with some idiot with a laser. He let the guy have it as well, rightfully so.

The internet/youtube (and the like) does have a lot to answer for.

You just can't factor in the mental health of each and every person attending any given venue. If only you could tell by looking, but you can't. I'm really surprised that more of this isn't happen, although I'm very, very glad that it doesn't. Must be very frightening for a performer to be up there and so vulnerable.

I guess the very nature of performing for others makes you somewhat vulnerable to begin with, but in light of what's happened recently at some concerts, I would want to chat with Security personally before each and every gig...just sayin'...

I'm thinking, some of those security guys are spending time tapping their feet and not enough time watching the guys on stage, especially since Noel and Robbie were attacked from behind. Stuff coming out of the crowd would be pretty tough to police.
