| A year and 3 months ago? You guys here in the cave were the first to help launch the Nocturne Brain Seltzer, then I upgraded/name changed the pedal to the Dyno Brain. Well Buzz Campbell has pushed me over the edge to add a boost function and maybe a gain switch soooo.... here is the Prototype.. I know I will have to cross post later tonight but I wanted to put it here first for my compadres! Its a Dyno brain with boost and drive... Dont know what to call it yet? The Cray Stat ? | |

I want!!!!! Anything that's got gain...I want!!!!! Will it work with the Brain, or is it a replacement pedal? My Brain stays where it is...hmmm that doesn't sound right?? You can't use The Cray Stat. Robert Cray will probably sue you or Fender may mis read it and sue you. How 'bout the Nocturne BUZZ Box?

"Dear Santa, this year i want this new Booster by Nocturne.... " Dont be mad Brett but no. Not at all. Its purely a Nocturne Dyno Brain based on an RE301's preamp with a better input impedance PLUS a Gain boost. Yes a Nocturne uses a single opamp but as a pre-amplier device. A tube screamer is a dual opamp based drive pedal using symmetrical clipping diodes to create overdrive. My pedals are preamps that "affect", not overdrives that create "effects". These preamps in of themselves have a distinct EQ coloring but are not set up to create internal clipping, rather they affect the nature of the tube amp and its clipping ability (wish I was technical enough to express this more didactically) The little switch is bringing front end gain for more texture, think mr. Surfer goes Jazzin. Kinda how when an already breaking up amp then has the speaker cone clippin a bit. Some call that hair... The switch might not stay, I dont want to have to add another indicator light. The 2 LEDs on there already are so bright you cannot see the pedal in a dark room only your face glowing purple on stage (I may have to dim the LED by half so cumulatively is only as bright together as one single one is currently on the Dyno) I should have it dialed and done tomorrow as I burned out my soldering iron of 3 yrs. and had to purchase another today:)

| That looks awesome! Any Chance for a Nocturne Overdrive Pedal, for those of us who already have the preamp? I'd immediately buy one I think. | |

| Good Grief TV, when are you going to start a department store style charge account? I can't keep up with the awesomeness you're churning out! So...Blondeshell plus a cab and the new nocturne pedal...what do I have that I can sell?
No doubt this is what would fill my space as a tool to get my amp cooking!
proposed names: Nocturne BFS (Built for speed) Nocturne Grease Box Nocturne Dyno Slammer...(wait that was a freestyle bicycle from back in the day) Nocturne Nitro Burner
ok, maybe I'm not the marketing wonder boy I'd like to think I am!

| First of all... Congratulations Mr. Nocturne. Looks great! I'm exicted to hear and watch some samples... So, for giving the baby a name... If you're talking Casino stuff... Why don't call it "Snake Eyes".. Since it has 2 knobs and that "poison" yellow paint? | |
