So now.. the atomic brains pedal is taking place for the holidays. I ordered parts for a run of 25. Just got in the Ed roth "dog pecker pink" metal flake to mix with my sno globe flake from last xmas. Hoping for a cool vintage 50s champagne pink sort of color that I could not do last year. Gonna have demo video up of this pedal and the Strymon El Capistan sometime tonight for ya'll
btw.. check out JetBunny's idea for a pedal box graphic! I like it.
Is there a preorder button?
Wow! I obviously am not a smart guy cuz I didnt think of that. Should I thats seems presumptuous of me.

the new pedal looks badass! I'm saving some duccets for one...know anyone looking for a minty Brain Classic? This new one or the Dyno seem like they are optimal for my current set up, and I ain't no pedal collector so if it gets used I keep if I don't I try to find someone who will

Hey Tavo,
I would say let us pre-order way.
I would also ask that you confirm what the differences / advantages are compared to the regular Dyno Brain and also...
how much it is?

oooh, please tell me that Atomic Duo Brain will give a middle finger to all OD pedals...especially if paired with a great germanium/treble boost pedal! If so, looks like I'll have to save a little more and order a Blondeshell/ A.D. Brain combo.

Well this is what i'm thinkin.. (after the dummy spends 80 bucks on pearl and metal flake and has yet to purchase the PPG fast cure clear at $160 a gallon).
This is the time of year that you can either get away with buying yourself a christmas gift or ask your beloved to give you something you really want. So I'm gonna paint them all pretty like, 60s style in a very custom color..throw in a Christmas ornament(with the dynobrain) and our new nocturne shirt with a vince ray designed norton logo he made for me. shirts black silkscreen is ghoul green. (limited to the Atomic brain)
the whole package deal is one of those limited things cuz once this Atomic Brain might become a production thing, I just want to put a nice top box logo on it and thats it. All to say these first 25 will be "special". ..just thinking out loud. $275
these are AC powered only and I cant ship them outside the united states with the power adapter unless they have a CE license. (I have purchased audio quality power adapters for them they are $10)
okay how is this pedal like or not like a Dyno Brain?? It is a dyno brain in the normal channel but with more beef, and when you switch on the second channel it open the circuit up more like a solo mode. More hair on tap to punch through the drummer when he's laying on the cymbals.
If youre not a live player that second stomper means you are gonna get your amp to light up the tubes and hear what the amp sounds like cranked up without having to crank it up too much.. Think Brian with 68 comeback special with more whiskey
Technically, this pedal uses a chip slightly different than the other so there is more transparency when pushed really hard instead of sludging up like some do when when they are dimed. Same circuit as the Dyno Brain preamp..just bolder with a "turbo" mode. You still can get your purist sound but nitro burnin funny car is on tap too. Its like playing your Dyno Brain turned all the way up with a bit more cha-ching The second channel has a white LED so you can sort of see through the lazar beam of ultra violet from the normal channel.

Cool, and lastly will the Knobs on this still be the same and the second switch just act as the "lead Boost"? Or is one knob for one and the other for the second?
I love the power adapter only. I use a one spot and find it so much better then.....
So Tavo, I know you were reviewing the El Capistan. Is the Brain totally cool and compatible with it unlike the Wampler or some of the ones I used where it gets really hairy and bad?
Cause, I think Diggey is going to need both pedals......
These look great. I can't wait to see the scheme of colors and such.
Awesome

You got it Rene'!! I love that movie so much. "I put an abnormal brain in a 7ft gorilla!"
btw guys.. I havent made new shirts with the pedal graphics..those arent even sussed out totally. I made new tshirts w/ ghoul green "Nocturne Brain Pedals" on black like the amp logo. Vince ray made me that Norton motorcycle style logo with the devil horn.
