| Every so often we have to do one of these. It is law. Post up pictures of your noise-makers! Guitars, basses, amps, everything! Left: My Gretsch 6129T Silver Jet. My dad gave me this guitar when I graduated high school. I will never sell it and it'll probably be buried alongside me. I love this guitar. Middle: Ibanez AF75D. The deep-body Ibanez Artcore hollowbody. This is the guitar I dick around and write songs on. It was hand pinstriped by this 17-year-old kid named Chastin a few years back at the Re-animators Car Show in Atlanta. Right: Epiphone Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Jr. reissue. I wanted something similar to Mick Jones and Johnny Thunders. This is what I could afford. It sounded pretty great, but I sold it a couple months ago to a guy from Israel. Here's 2 instruments that I wish I had back. I bought them for a fucking steal ($150 for both) and ended up selling them right after I moved to NYC and more than doubled my money. I just didn't have room for them, and I was buh-roke. I wish I had sold something else now in order to keep them. Left: Danelectro U3. Right: Danelectro DC Bass. My shred guitar (not that I ever shred on it): 1987 Kramer Striker 300. It has a Floyd Rose vibrato on it. That means if you hit a pinch harmonic and yank on that whammy, it sounds like a goddamn Zero diving on a torpedo run. This guitar is currently in pieces because I'm refinishing the body. My everyday bass: Squier Vintage Modified 70's Precision Bass. Cheap, sounds good, looks good. I use it mainly to record with. I swapped out the black pickup cover to a white one. Looks like Paul Simonon's P-Bass now.. AAAAAND... The newest addition to the arsenal (got it on Sunday).. A mid-60's Farfisa Combo Compact organ. It needs a lot of cosmetic work (new upper faceplate, new Tolex covering) but it sounds great and the spring reverb still works on it. I've seen these things go for a ridiculous amount of cash, but I found this one on Craigslist for mega cheap and couldn't pass it up. Sounds just like 96 Tears.. I've also got a no-name baritone ukulele and a Casio SK-1 Sampling Keyboard that I don't have photos of. | |

| Yeah great thread! Beautiful instruments you two!! Love the sparkle finishes, and radioclash, the pinstriping on your Ibanez rocks! This is my little collection: Nobody can tell me that Gretsches aren't sexy! I modified it with TV-Jones Pickups, rocks like hell now, here's a closeup with the TV's: Ashton Sl-29 EQ: I found it on an insolvency sale, and fell in Love with that flamed Top, and for 90 Euros I just couldn't leave it standing there. Ashton classical guitar: got it as a gift from the same insolvency sale, because I showed the owner how I play Mr. Sandman (when it came to me, the bridge was ripped off) It's still waiting for some Hotrod-flame paintjob. Stagg P-Bass and Carl Hellweg Nylon string (my first guitar ever!) Peavey JF-1 I have it hangin' over my bed, because I often get Ideas for new Songs in the middle of the night, and so I need a guitar near my pillow! If you ever have the chance to play one, check them out, there not expensive but they got a great tone! My Ukulele: And last but not least, a Pic of my '59 Bassman: | |

Budge E. Lee I love Fenders that have matching or contrasting color (read; not standard clearcoat over wood) headstocks! Especially Jaguars, Jazzmasters, etc...

| Hey TV, how is that Wild West parlor guitar? Does it have good tone? How's the intonation? Budge - Jake E Lee was a mean guitar player! I loved the Bark at the Moon album, and got to see him play here when they came through town. | |

First off I love Ozzie and Bark at the moon, but rhandy rhoads is forever near and dear to my shredd! the parlor guitar is cool, I gave it a heavier gauge coated phosphor bronze strings and a set of grover sta-tite tuners to replace the crappers it came with. Its not on par with a baby taylor or Seagull parlor for rhythm but flat picking is rad. I am going to record with it. Also fun with a slide in drop D.

The first time I saw the Oz man and band was 3 weeks after RR was killed (my first ever convert). The player for that band was a cat named Brad Gillis. He was also on the Speak of the Devil album. I think he also played with Night Ranger. Anyway I thought Jake was a real unique player. RR occupies near sainthood status within the guitar world.

Yes, Brad Gillis did play with Night Ranger... One thing about Ozzy; he never picked any slouches to play geetar for him after he got booted from Sabbath. Zakk Wylde is a mighty fine shredder hisself! Don't ask me, I don't know. John "Budgie" Osbourne

Ahhh ha! You were sucked into the seattle scene! Tell me that The Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots didnt crush the grunge crap happening then. ( dont be mean now.. I worshipped the Corgan and STP, got all their signatures)

| OK OK... Here's the family... in the downstairs room I am refinishing as my "guitar bar" (yes it will have a bar in it!) If you notice a lack of amps, it's because I just purged my amps & went guitar shopping. Besides, I've decided to stop "going thru amps", I'm just going to save up for what I really want: a Swart, and a Blonde Bassman. Maybe a little tweed princeton or something... L to R: 1990 Ovation Custom Legend Deep Bowl (from my hair band days) 1988 Charvel/Jackson 3DR w/Floyd Rode (also from my hair band days) 2005 Gretsch Hot Rod in Candy Apple Red 1996 Fender American Standard Telecaster (modified) - MY #1 199? "beater"- Lone Star all-cedar steel string acoustic (for taking to the beach, etc) 2007 PRS SE Singlecut with McCarty switching & Lollar Imperial pups (smokes!) | 9 - That's a nice collection/set up/basement. I can envision the Cave Dwellers hangin' out there, running through some tunes and consuming some cave beverages! TV - yeah, my musical tastes diversified quite a bit. I did dig the grunge stuff, but I was also into alternative before that. Hell I like a lot of stuff. As far as the Seattle scene, I was pretty deep into Pearl Jam for a while, maybe first three albums or so.
