With this one I like to think they're playing a private show just for me

Thanks for the kind words Rick I think that's why we're all here, to share our experiences and make them as personal as possible for everyone to enjoy. I know I had a great time reading about the Europe Tour, so I'm glad everyone is enjoying hearing about the Aussie Tour, and I know we're all going to be hanging out to hear about Brian's 50th concert bash!!!
Hey Kid, those are great shots. My normal camera doesn't take shots that good. Good work. I hope you manage to make it to the Melbourne show. It'd be cool to get an Aussie group pic. Hope you and Andi have a ball over the next two nights. Have fun

Hey Rickabilly, Thanks man. I agree that just getting to the shows is great enough, but if ya get anything else, what a bonus. Logistically, Australia must be a nightmare when it comes to organizing shows. Sam and myself had a great experience, one that we'll never forget. What I'm really happy about is that through this and other forums, I've made some great mates from my own backyard and all over the world. If there's one thing I could convey to the Cats, it'll be a big thank you to all of them for giving us something very special to share with all of us. Those of us that are travelling to Melbourne this Sunday do it for the love of the music. We don't do it for recognition. Rene, Arnu and Andi haven't met Sam yet, they're gonna be in for a big suprise. This guy is one of the nicest people I've met. He made my wife and myself feel welcome, and the enthuism he spoke about the night before, well you just had to be there to experience it. He made sure he kept in contact while I was there and even after I got back to Adelaide. Thanks Sam! If the Stray Cats Tour has made this possible, I have to question if they owe me anything or do I owe them? I know the answer. The best thing I can do for them is to support them both by attending whatever shows I can and let them know my appreciation. There's a reason why I've followed their music for the last 25+ years..... IT ROCKS!!!!! Thanks Brian, Jim and Lee and see you in Melbourne!
Cheers Pete

I'm with Rick regarding the enthousiasm of the Aussies Fans! This thread has been read more than 2,5 thousands times!! I like to think our friends have a lot of importance in the Cats decision to schedule an Aussie Farewell Tour. I'm in heaven with all these reviews. And it's not over, guys, so please keep on making us dream with opened eyes.... Thanks again

Ditto for me as well
I remember the Memerial Drive show in Dec 1990 when the "Cats" supported Barnesy. (was more into Jimmy back them, & still am but!!!)
Man o man and seeing them in lil old Adelaide last week just blew me away, couldn't believe it was happening. Even the wife was blown away because after all theses years of raving about "Stray Cats" she finally got to see them for the 1st time.
So our travels aren't over either. We were gunna go to Brissy but when they announced the last show in Melb, got tickets straight away. We're flying out early Sunday morning and coming home mid arvo on Monday. We're staying at The Citygate on Flinders St which I believe is a couple hundred metres from the Forum.
Can't wait, will probably catch you guys sometime over there.
Cheers Paul

Hey, does anyone have any news from the Sydney shows? I mean, the encores and everything?
Has Jimmy Barnes appeared as a guest in Sydney? I know he played some encores with Slim Jim & Darrel Higham back in 2006 ;-)

Never fear! I saw alot of people recording it so look out on youtube and it should be up there soon... Thing is, Brians voice really sounded like Lemmy's when he sang it
