Holy crap!! What incredible reading! What amazing photos! I am sooooo jealous of your concert experiences! But I am looking forward to the rest of 2009 as well. Son of a gun, I'd have given almost anything to have traded places with any one of you guys at one of those shows! Here's to new found friends, and farewell to Cats.....in Australia! (must go get a beer now..) Thank you so much for sharing your stories & photos! Heading over to flickr...

Great pics Andi. Brilliant, you got one of Brian talking to Anu and I. Now I know it's not a dream.

Thanks HRG! The more I look at it the more I think we look like some rockabilly version of the Brady Bunch

One thing Brian did, and it's just come to me as I look at the photos, is at the start(?) of the second encore, he came out with a VB beer. Just stood there talking and joking about turning 50 next month, having a 21 year old son and saying he was just having a beer with his friends. Then he proceeded to play some slide guitar on Built 4 Speed......

You know, there's a million and one things I'd like to say......but I can't honestly find the words that'd do justice for my feelings for the last coupla weeks. The music, the atmosphere, the feeling of revitalization in myself, the new friendships, the old friendships, the meeting of my idols, the pain of not having my wife here to share some of it with me, the pleasure in seeing other peoples happiness, the beer drinking, the traveling to other states to get to concerts, the agony of being so close yet so far........what words do you use? The only thing I can say without fear or trepidation is if I had to do it all again, I would as long as my friends were there with me to enjoy it as well. Thanks Brian, Lee, Jim, Tania, Rene, Anu, Sam, Andi, Paul and everyone else that made it possible. Cheers Pete

The problem is that not only were the shows unbelievable, the friendships we made and the thrill of meeting the guys, but all the little nuisances that made it special are hard to describe. How do you convey the feeling of meeting Andi and feeling as if it were an old friend that you hadn't seen in ages? Meeting Sam and just knowing that you're gonna hit it off? The gut feeling that tonight is the night if any to meet Brian again? How do I convey the emotion of WTF, Brian knows who I am? How do I explain the feeling of knowing the Cats gave us everything they had and then more? Knowing that I'll catch up with my new friends, but when, who knows? That's what I struggle to put down. Between us all, the story is completed, but we all know the little things that only make sense to us from that week end.

Gee, took me a while to get back into the swing of things after such an amazing few weeks. Brian's tour really put a buzz in my step, it was the only thing on my mind really, everything else was left behind...Now I'm paying the price, a price which mind you is worth paying considering the sensational time I had. It's been late nights catching up at work on all the things I put on the back burner while I was living a dream...boy reallity sucks...lol.

Hehe yeah it was like that for me when I met Andi - it was like she was a good friend I hadn't seen in ages, I was comfortable with her and Dean right from the get go... plus she gave me presents so that's always good I wish I got to meet you other Aussies, especially you Pete Of course it would have been awesome to meet The Brian but it was not meant to be, that would have been the icing on the cake.. but the cake still tastes good without it

Awww, we're all one big happy Aussie family!
Here it is 10 days later and I still haven't been able to think of anything else, the whole experience was such a high. I wish we all lived closer together, we would definitely be partying together every weekend!! I miss you guys! Kid, we're comin' back down to Brisbane on the 22nd for the Chris Isaak show (man, the things I do for good live music!) so if you're available maybe we can catch a bite to eat!
The funny thing is I bought the new Isaak CD and have listened it a couple times to get to know the new songs before the show... it's good, but I keep switching to my Setzer CDs!!
Tell you what, not sure why but recent events certainly have inspired me to practice my guitar. I spent *hours* practicing yesterday and now my fingers and arms are really sore- but I still want to practice more!! Good thing I don't have a job to get in the way

Thankyou to all The Australian fans here for all the great posts regarding the tour. I have been away from this forum for a while so i just read all 20 pages of posts and seen all the photos. The photos of the Pete and Andi and Kid Setzer and others together are amazing. I remember the Euro tour in 2004 when people i had been exchanging posts with on here for a long time suddenly came up to me at the shows and introduced themselves to me and we got on so well it felt like we had known each other for years. My memories of meeting the Stray Cats and other fans over the years has always been in my mind and your recent experiences will also live with you all forever.
Thankyou all once again Keep Rockin'. Brucie.

Thank you Brucie! Looking forward to seeing Kid again this weekend!
All, I just happened to come across a couple reviews of the first Brisbane show (I don't think these were posted earlier, if so, please ignore.) I think it's hilarious that in the first one there's reference to Lee singing a song called "Baby Left Me in a Limousine"!! I don't remember hearing that one!!
