poor Pete...Don and I were hoping the talk and visual aids of Kim Falcon would alleviate your heighten fetish for Simmons & Salad.
..and Don if it helps, when Kim hugs you.. all your brain cells collapse and rational thought is gone for .001 seconds. It was a nice moment but my son was taking the picture looking at me like "MOM aint gonna be happy".

Of the Carvins I've played, I think they're great. All have been smaller combo type under 30W all tube amps though. Great bang for buck. The USA made cables and such they made were really good too. One thing though is that I've seen people put little fans in them so the boards don't over heat. Somple $50 repair, just dont know why never done from factory?

Woooooooo Doggy, look at that SHINE! (I like the head, too, but that pedal....)
Just got my notice today that it was shipped, something tells me that I'll be single by the end of next week, me and the Nocturne have some bonding to do. Cheers, Tavo! Great job on that finish!

I NOW HAVE MY DYNO NOCTURNE! Can't wait to try it out, but unfortunately it'll have to wait for tomorrow night. Still have to pick up a power supply. Looking forward to running the 6131 and the 6119 through it! Cheers, Tavo!

Haven't had much of a chance to write my "review" of the pedal yet, but i've got a few minutes now, so here goes.....
Got my Nocturne hooked up and running on the weekend! EXCITEMENT!!! And it was a good excuse to get my whole rig in order and not in pieces all over the place. A few beers and a new pedal was all the inspiration I needed. The only unfortunate thing is that I was in my apartment where i really can't open the amp up and check it out. However, the Nocturne did really fatten up the dynas nicely. didn't get a chance to muck around with the bass cut too much at that volume, but that gain is really something else, and it looks byooteeffulll!!!!!! I can see what you meant about not really wanting to put controls on it though, TV, it's pretty much set where it's going to be set, and left there for now.
So yeah, the first thing that i noticed was the bridge pickup, which I never use on it's own on the jet because it's really hot, but thin sounding, sounded much better after some brief amp adjustment. The dyna jet was my first Gretsch, and was perfect for clean clean clean tones, but i've always preferred both pups on, or that bassy neck pickup with some reverb on it. The bridge pickup is now useable without messing around with the amp for ages.
I didn't have my 6119 there, just my 6131TDS, so i'm looking forward to firing up some filtertrons through that thing and see how she sounds! Fortunately, I've got some time off of work coming, so I'll have a chance to see how those filters are going to respond to it. Also going to bring my amp into work, where i can crank the throttle and hear what it sounds like.
The only thing that i noticed negative, once i hooked up my pedal chain, is that i have a boss distortion pedal which can't be on while the Nocturne is on. Well, with the dynas, anyway. Whatever noise was coming through the chain was amplified about 6 times through the Boss pedal. Of course, i use distortion once in a blue moon, so it's not a problem.
The final comment on the nocturne is the workmanship.....fantastic. Everything about the pedal, the fit and finish, the paint, the.....the everything, just screams high class. In a good way, of course. Sitting it next to the other pedals in my rig, it was like putting a Tennessee rose in a room full of Daisy Rock guitars. Great quality build, Tavo. My girlfriend was really impressed by the finish as well.
One question for you, if i was considering building a volume box, just out of an audio taper pot and slappign it in the effects loop of the Hot Rod for a little more control...I know that your nocturne as advertised as working well with "Non-master Volume amps"....what kind of trouble or awesomeness can I expect?
Once again, top notch job sir, very well done.
As a side note, i accidentally looked at the pedal when i kicked it on and almost lost my sight from that LED> I know, i know, i was warned.

We jammed this at our last gig. Gretsch-Nocturne-Analog Delay-Carvin 17W Tube Amp. Not the best sound or vision...or playing for that matter!! LOL !!! But another example of the Nocturne through a different amp.
PS... I pulled the high E off on the previous song and had to tune it back at the start of the song.
