| And this is gonna do wonders for my Tennessee Rose, my dynoJet, and my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe? Will it make me play better? | |

not only will it do wonders for your guitar but you will begin to find money hidden in couches and your lotto numbers will align with the cosmos. btw.. I owe you a tshirt for being so long suffering and at least trying to get word to setzer about the nocturne! I should at least help clothe a fellow gretsch owner who's helped me.

| Well, i'm not gonna turn down a cool nocturne shirt. I've wanted one of these pedals for so long! But now i'm gonna get one that matches my guitar, so hey, it was worth the wait, and if it's real pretty, my girlfriend won't complain TOO much. Anyway, i tried to get the word to setzer, but only the sheer marketing genius of TV thewiredturtle triumphs in such situations! Can't wait to give this thing a whirl. | |

| Oh wow, I tried a FET buffered pedal (Boss TR-2) infront of the Nocturne and it really showed me what the Nocturne was meant to do. All along I was scratching my head thinking it was one of those effects that you don't really know what it does until it's off. Well, when I'm not sure what the FET buffer does, but man it turned my powertron equipped spectra sonic into a jangly and gritchy beast...tone descriptions that I now fully understand! The only thing I noticed was some trem artifact being amped. I guess I need a Dyno-Brain or my current Brain Dyno'd?!? Will there be a "Power Brain" or better yet, a "Nitro Brain"? Yes, Im giddy with geekiness! | |

| Excuse my lack of tech jargon, but I've heard of this FET Buffer, but have no idea what it is. Layman's terms? | |

Yes, Im giddy with geekiness! sounds like Boss dropped the ball with their bypass! have you tried running that thing on its own power supply? This was happening with my Deluxe memory Boy until I put it on its own supply.

Boss/Ibanez/maxon pedals often use a second circuit built into the pedalboard for the bypass signal. They utilize transistors to electronically flip the circuit on and off when you stomp on it.. when it flips over to bypass mode a FET (field effect transistor) is employed to power the bypassed signal through with very high presence EQ (I'm guessing 16Khz) .. this ends up being a line conditioner and can be helpful when a multitude of cables lengths are employed between guitar and amp..although when there are more than one or two of these in a pedal board chain they end up robbing your guitar of signal (capacitance loading, weird buffering issues sometimes) anyway.. whether a Fet bypass pedal is engaged or not..that line conditioner is pumpin through and when its in front of the Nocturne Brain Seltzer, this preamp is forced to "pre amp" that signal along with the guitar's signal resulting in exaggerated high end. Perfect for pickups beyond the 4-6K dc resistance level like dynasonics, p90s, Pafs, hot strat and tele pkups like duncan quarter lbs'r, hotrails, etc BUT almost too much sheen for filtertrons into vintage style fender non master vol amps... anyway ya.. wild little trick I saw Paul Pigat emply for his dynasonic loaded club.. works like a charm.. YET.. it just passes that presence through a bit.. the Dyno on the other hand has that voicing in it plus more gain resulting in better "stringy-ness" some call articulation and dynamic enhancing. btw.. should we vote on what knobs Mark gets on the first ever "Cherry Cola" version? here's the choices (finish is dull because I buffed the candy coat for the graphics and then I shoot clear poly after)

| Ha, I don't want to botch up the creative process with my input. I would say, that the 6119 has chrome knobs, but a slightly off white binding. So, i would go with off-white, or whatever matches that pinstripe. Either way, fantastic looking pedal, my girl just looked and said, "Wow! It looks like Shoes Guitar!" (My Tennesse Rose is the shoes guitar, because it reminds her of cool creepers.) | |

Well I wanted to put a creme side stripes instead of all silver to match the guitar(my boy has the george harrison 5122 that bonedaddy gave him) but that might be too extreme. All saying the creme knobs wouldve have been perfect.. I'm rolling out the red carpet here, not a usual scenario but I owe everything to you guys here in our cave. let me know its time to shoot pedal boxes now that the wife is home from work (free from kid duty!)

This was happening with my Deluxe memory Boy until I put it on its own supply. Not yet, I went to my local shop and they haven't had any power supply units in stock and they seem to bothered to order any new ones in even though I've been in a few times. So it's been zinc chloride batteries that I've been trying to save for drives and fuzzes getting eaten up by my TR-2, DM-3, and Nocturne. I will give this shop one more chance since it's been my goto place since I started playing. This is where a place like Mars music came in handy back when. They usually had the more pedestrian stuff like PSU's in stock
