I just got home from a John Fogerty concert. James Intvelt was his rhythm guitarplayer. Got another pic for my collection. It was actually used by John for the last song which was Proud Mary.

Seeing Poncho Sanchez this weekend (with my boy Ron "Checkpoint" Blake of the BSO on trumpet!), seeing Jamie Cullum again next weekend, seeing Chris Isaak again next month... with the man of my dreams... screw Good Things, these are FANTASTIC things!!!
I've warned him that eventually seeing Setzer with me, though, will be a whole different experience.

after several naps, quite a few Tylenol, and lots of water...I'm finally starting to feel better today. But I had a damn good time last night!
Back to the old grind tomorrow.
It was a great weekend though!

Had some Computer Problems over the last time, so I couldn't read anything on here, hope I haven't missed anything too important, so first good thing I'm back!
Two weeks ago we played on one of the biggest Jazz festivals in germany with our BIg Band, it was a competition concerning the whole country, there was a school Bigband coming from every state, and they were all judged, and to make it short we're on the 8th place out of the final 14 bands that played on that competition. In total about 400 bands tried to apply for the contest. I'm really proud of that. What the Jury liked most about us was that we're absolutely not taking it serious, We we're just having fun. On one Song (A Funk title called Fowl Play) I played Ukulele, and we somehow mixed Brian's Version of Caravan into a Song called "Tiger of San Pedro" after having Jumped into a Disco/Techno Drum'n Bass-Solo. Oh, and before I forget it, there were cool Bands playing on that Festival, I took a Picture with Swing Legend Hugo Strasser, and saw Bireli Lagrene.
Yeah, some time ago I wrote that I had qualified for the State Bigband, but I didn't know yet when I could start to play in there, well in September one of the guitarists is going to leave the Band what means, that there is a place for me.
Glad to be back!

A few weeks ago I went on a 'Tweed Ride'.. The second year running 140 of the people of Sydney (Including myself) donned our Tweed attire and went for a ride through the beautiful city of Sydney on a chilly winter morning on our bicycles - much fun was to be had. Today I was sent a photo from said ride:
Photos from the ride can be found in this Flickr group if you are interested/bored and what something to do:

Cool picture! Is "Tweed Attire" a common thing where you're from? I haven't seen too much of it around here.

Way back when I started this thread, I said something about hoping it'd be the longest thread in HDVDL history. I dunno if we've hit that, but... 45 pages of Good Things! YEAH! We freakin' rock!!!
Webby, congrats, how exciting! Guitarmaniac, so happy for you! Kid, love seeing that first photo- you two look great. Glad to see you two are still going strong. Enjay and Vic and everyone else... thank you for helping to keep this thread going!
I got nothin' but Good Things that just keep going on and on and on, so to mention them again would be repetitive. So a new, nice little surprise thing this morning - going to the cafeteria with a couple coworkers and having breakfast bought for me!
Oh... and tonight my fella has to work late, so I might actually get a full night's sleep for the first time in a month.
Okay, that was just bragging. Sorry.

Which is funny, because he tells me that isn't a good photo of me - that when I smile at him it's actually much bigger than that.

Life is good. hrg

You wont understand the lyrics, but this is one of my favourite songs. It's by the bavarian indian (native american) blues legend Willy Michl and it's aboout the beauty of the isar river in my homecountry bavaria.
