70 pages of Good Things! We've been through a lot here, ya'll. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
How is everyone? I want Good Thing updates! Kid, enjay, HRG, Bear, Pony, Guitarmaniac, and everybody else that hasn't posted here in a while, ya'll need to check in!
Lots of tough stuff going on around me lately, but the Good Thing is how everyone is being strong and pushing though their individual problems - and we're all trying to be there for each other as much as we can, and learning and growing in the process. It's so odd and jarring how you can have really difficult times and really amazingly wonderful times all happening concurrently - but holding onto and sharing the Good Things help make the difficult things a little less so.
This is my Greatest Thing lately - watching it (a LOT!) is giving me strength in the difficult things.

I'm sorry, I know a lot of people aren't comfortable with public displays of affection. I'll delete it from the forums if you want.

He used a pretty crazy mix of gear to record the song, I don't even know what all pedals he used (though I do know my Nocturne Brain Seltzer #15 was used with the Hamer Blitz Bass!) I think the SSLVO was recorded with the HiMu head and some weird funky old speaker (see the :37 mark), and I'm pretty sure the bass was direct through the Brain and maybe one other pedal into the Zoom R-16 recorder. A few of the mics (EV V1, modded Cad Trion 8000) are just in there for the fun of it, not actually used in the recording of the song. Kinda like this.
Yeah my sticking sucks, I'm working on it.

Actually, I've grown quite fond of the ponytails too. (Wish I could get away with blue hair all the time!) And he doesn't mind doing the eyeliner at all, the whole thing is a mutual and very positive feedback loop for us both. Who needs television??

That's a serious wall of vinyl behind you guys. I bet you got in on the ground floor of the CBS record club "16 records for only a penny". I'm going out on a limb here and suspect you there is some Tull, Chicago, and the complete works of Duran Duran in there.

I know you were heartbroken when you realized Simon le Bon wasnt really hungry like the wolf but rather wanted to go meet frankie in hollywood.

Well, now I gotta post here
Many good things happening right now!
1. University starts on monday. I study brewing science and drink proudiction technology at "Weihenstephan Science Center for Nutrition and land use" which is the only place in the world where you can actually study beer
2. My sister won 2 tickets for a secret gig of Dick Brave and the Backbeats in Munich and chose to take me there Seeing the guys (including Adriano, the guy paul met some time ago) playing in front of 50+- people was really awesome!
3. My own Band the "Rockin' Midgets" is finally catching some backwind and we get more and more gigs. We got about 2-3 gigs a month coming right now and it's really fun! We usually play in suits or really good clothes but sometimes we just dress more or less f*cked up just for fun This was an outdoor gig some time ago and it was freezing cold, but still alot of fun as it was one of the rare occasions we just got to play in really comfortable clothes and didn't have to worry about our own "dresscode". Hope you enjoy it =D
4. My Girlfriend is just really sweet =) After a really bad experience with my immature ex it feels really good to have someone like her in my life.

Never!! Hate fruit in my beer!! Come on, you mean to tell me running around topless with a bandana around your neck and a big ol' perfectly combed pomp is manly but you draw the line at EYELINER?! It's all part of the same deal, brother!
Guitarmaniac, so glad to hear things are going so well!! The Rockin' Midgets are great, you look so at ease with that guitar. It can't be that cold though, I see a woman in a skirt above her knees!

Thanks Andi =) Also nice too see you found someone you can really have fun with. Making music together is about one of the best couple activities I know. My girl started playing guitar about a year before she became my girlfriend and I really enjoy teaching her some cool songs and playing them with her.
Actually that woman is my girlfriend (don't worry, the little kid is not ours^^) and she caught a bad cold that day because of her short skirt ;-) It was the first weekend in september and it was really cold for that time of the year

Absolutely true, Chris, we're havin' a BALL. Practiced for a while today before he had to go to work, it's too easy to get totally sidetracked: "oh crap, you have to be at work in 20 minutes!!!" ZOOM! Out the door! haha!!

Nice, Lelle! We've looked at upgrading our table but if we can get a couple more years out of it in the meantime, we're saving our pennies for a VPI HW16.5 record cleaner instead. A vacuum for vinyl!

If each party is submitting to the fetishes of the other, it's a switch dynamic, not femdom.

I just farted loudly in the office. I had gas plus I was alone, so I let it roll. I feel much better now.
