Seriously, my good thing today is enjoying the banter on the last 2 pages or so of this thread. Chris' band rocks, and Andi's video is great fun, even though I want to smoke a cigarette after watching it. Or is it because I want to smoke a cigarette after watching it?

To get the thread back on track, my Good Thing today is looking forward to seeing Chris Isaak and Brian Setzer in the next couple months... and Al Stewart of all people in a couple weeks! (Yes, as in, "The Year of the Cat." What can I say, my fella is old.

I do have good things going on, and will play fair. One good thing.....
Kids getting spoiled by grandma & grandpa by getting handfuls (literally) of candy even though they showed up without costumes (they're 15 & 11).
Teaching my dad how to use the computer (baby steps...).
Watching my son eagerly pass out candy to trick-or-treaters, carefully assessing each group so-as-to not pass out too much, nor too little, just the right amount so there will be leftovers.
And fixing one of those household problems, reassuring myself how extremely capable I am!
And now...my soft warm bed....flannel sheets....down comforter....ahhhhh.........

My Good Things today: deep and thought provoking philosophical discussions. Valrhona chocolate powder, made into the BEST HOT CHOCOLATE EVER. So good that I dumped a full cup of that Swiss Miss crap down the sink. And I enjoyed it.

Got my new Rockabilly Riot shirt today from the setzer store.

I wish they had some of the nashvillain head logo style available.

Well the "BIG" good thing is Brian coming to Oz again!!! 3 years wait this time, not 18!! I'm so excited, it's going to be awesome!!! Mrs. Pony is already bouncing off the walls.

Another thing.....no more kidney pain, the stones are gone thank goodness...whew!!!!

And another, got the new Eve Hell and the Razors CD....LOVE IT!!!!!!

our local high school football team made state playoffs. My good thing? My teenage "band geek" son gets to play (music, that is....possibly march) in Memorial Stadium where the Huskers play! Pretty big deal to get to march in same stadium where "The Pride of All Nebraskaaaaaahhh" marches!!!

There's also precious little seating at the Belly Up so you either get there super-early or you stand. Definitely not your kinda joint Tavo.

Today's Good Thing.... 4 day weekend starts in an hour and a half!! Band practice awaits!! Maybe we'll learn another song well enough to make another video.
