Waiting for the 1st review from japan... I dont even know what to do about getting into japan? Japan has no Nocturne. (but japan has plenty of re301s!)
After 165 Nocturne pedals sold, not one from has gone to the east. How about trying to get in contact with Shinya. He's got a rockabilly band. If you don't have his details, let me know and I'll pass them on. R

I cant even afford a pint of guiness at the moment He may still be interested in the pedal though. I'll send him a link to you're blog if that's cool with you?

| I was just thinking the other day about Jack White's custom triple jet, and I've heard that there is a MXR Micro Boost intergrated into the guitar. Then I thought that could be a decent idea for the nocturne because there'd be less of a cable run between the pickups and the nocturne. I could only imagine that would let the nocturne hear the pickups better? Or am I being a space cadet?!? | |

its gonna happen somehow...maybe when I get Sparrow guitars in Canada to release their version of a white falcon with one. Billy is one of those guys that has a heart for the working class guitarist! this is their new sugarpine body custom shop with our nocturne at the show

No Billy got started by gettin a group of friends together to dial in import guitars and pinstripe em.etc.. then as things grew they got a CNC machine and now they are makin LP juniors and these sugar pine teles with cast alum bridges.. The pickups are just kent armstrong but I really love kent armstrong p90s and such.. somehow they sound better than seymores. not powerful at all but airy and vintage. Billy was so nice to us in letting us put our pedal at his booth. I just had to give it to him! Now he's giggin with it in his punk rock band

| Finally my brain arrived! first thing the signal chain went under brain-surgery: Gretsch - nocturne - TTE - Fender Deluxe RI. I registered a somewhat sloppy thing on my zoom h2 yesterday: Settings: Gretsch (David Lee model w Powertrons): middle pu pos., nocturne: cut on 3pm, gain on 4 pm, tte: guitar vol at 2pm, everything else 12oclock, fender deluxe ri: on the vibrato channel vol: 2,5, treble: 10, bass: 5, everything else off. In this position the nocturne pushes certain frequencies, and that's really fine! nocturne 1I tried the same lick on the bridge pu, but the PTron seems to get really too compressed. i'll have to check out, how to get the best out of the nocturne, in the meantime it stays in the chain and it stays ON! I have to say, that more than an immediate sound you get a different feel from your guitar, and that's really good.

I have to say, that more than an immediate sound you get a different feel from your guitar, and that's really good. Man oh man how is that working? It'd be like watching setzer plug two space echoes into eachother kinda. the one major thing you have competing in your signal is the TTE. Thats a repro tube Echoplex and this means it has a full blown built in tube preamp and so I'm surprised you dont have straight sonic sludge since you are effectively creating a cascading trifecta "preamping a preamp, into your amps preamp". If you cant bring yourself to choose between using this RE301 space echo preamp and an echo pedal Versus using your Fulltone TTE, then its real important to plug into your amps 2nd input or (input 2) since Leo Fender designed input 2 for humbuckers with a 10db pad. You will need to lower your bass level on the amp way down to 2 as well. This will allow you much more headroom. Even switching over to JJ powertubes will give you a bit more clean. Those powertrons arent really the ones responsible for creating all the compression, although they do make the Nocturne react much sooner than classics. lemme know what you find, that is if your game to experiment a bit? ps. on that video with Buzz Campell, I had to talk him into trying what I mentioned above with his Deluxe and he was amazed at how much it gave up a more setzer like sound. Although his amp has been upgraded with a large magnet Weber speaker, JJ 6v6 powertubes and a solid state rectifier plug. He uses powertrons with his falcon but classics in the red hotrod. just an FYI.

| Hi Tavo, asap i'll make the improvements on the deluxe. Changing the powertubes, larger magnet weber speaker (maybe) and solidstate rectifier. But i'll play the nocturne saturday at a gig, so that will be the next important step to observe it's behaviour! ohh.. just checked: i already mount jj6v6 so solidstate recitfier is next! | |

ohh.. just checked: i already mount jj6v6 so solidstate recitfier is next! the SS rectifier tube really tightens the lows in your guitar, but usually you want to rebias the amps power tubes. since you are in italy you have Jensens more readily available for a better price than american or british speakers? If this is fact then you would be well served to make your replacement speaker this one: the Jensen Jet "electric lightning" although near to my heart and ears for a fender combo amp is the celestion G12H30 fwiw.. here is what Buzz has in his Deluxe (weber ferromax..just like a vintage jensen)

| I know Ive always thought of em like that but I was looking at that guitar and I literally got like, built up inside and kinda wanted to like, play it. Can you imagine how that must sound and play like?! Even though they kind of have that status symbol and what not, it would still be sick A to have one | |
