So.. if your pedal has the word SELTZER on it, consider it special. You are the ones that helped spearhead it all and I commend you Particularly the first 25 that blindly trusted me and ordered in advance, that is even more amazing.
Dude, I have always thought it was special, not because of the name, but because it was created by a freakin genius.

What a freakin' weird turn this thread has come to. As a proud owner of one of the first purple Brain Seltzer Nocturne pedals, I must say that anyone annoyed at a simple, tongue in cheek, play on a name needs a life, a hobby, or a reality check.
I think that I may come out with a line of big, orange, f-holed guitars called the Grease Cay Strat Model 2160. Maybe a tape loop delay named the Low Rand Ace Specko. How about a big blonde tube amp called the Denver Mace Ban. I'm gonna write a new song: Bun Away Roys.
Or best yet, my next band might be Vito and the Blat Flack Killers . . .
Sorry it came to this Tavo - weird just wuckin' feird.

What a bunch of children who obviously live their lives on forums. If you don't know the obvious answer as to why Brian doesn't need or try your pedal, he has a 301 in back of him and actually has small collection (as you know). Why the hell does he want a box that emulates a 301 when he has one? Oh yes, the name 'Brain Seltzer was not a play on his name - right. Troll? I've frequented this forum for years in its many forms and supplied the bulk of its videos way back when, always with the same user name. A troll (I think) would create a new account to express opinions he/she would not otherwise express or may be too cowardly. The truth hurts, learn to get over it.

Eh GreasyKidStuff. You're the one who has Kids in your nick. Shut up & play yer guitar if you have one. Let other people work for their dreams and respect it even if they make mistakes as they usually do, but that's a part of the learning process.
Rock on Tavo and all the best for your further inventions!! I've gained tons of knowledge from your posts. And no, I don't have the pedal. Yet.

Tavo, I for one don't care what you call it. ...just as long as it exists. The name is just the name. The real treasure is what's inside.
Do what you have to, but please don't let this negativity get you down. I guess this is what happens when you send you're babies out into the world. They get picked on and treated unfairly by those who don't understand them (referring to the TGP). Rise above man, rise above.
I'd LOVE to see a gallery on your website of all the finishes ever created. There's so many, show them things off!

thanks very much! I'm tryin to get my head around the whole TGP Gear pages thing. I mean I have been on guitar forums since I first lit up a PC in '96 with a 28kb modem. Actually back then it was usegroups message boards ( like alt.guitar.effects )
There have always been trolls that get tanked up and then decide to post whatever the heck they feel. Whats not fun is when you have slugs gang up for no reason just to cause trouble. Those guys with the snide remarks at TGP dont even like rockabilly music they just want to act like dogs.
Its all good, we wash the mud off the tires and roll on. I have a friend call up last night and tell me I was bein thin skinned and "how dare I change the pedal name" ..but I told him its time to move forward and I feel that perhaps while Brian's management has not said anything yet, it would be a good gesture to remove the "seltzer" part on the pedal. So I wrote to Niels and Dave to let them know I would indeed "fix" things. Havent heard anything back yet.
ps. I need a web designer for the domain I bought.. a real website would be awesome

I'm not a webdesigner, but I used to be pretty good at making graphics for websites and was part of a team that made designs for a forum software. I have no Idea about html and php though. If you want I could make up sth in my holidays starting in three weeks... I'd have to try to get back in that stuff again though, it's been at least 2 Years since I stopped working on such things... Here's a design i made up for a RHCP Fanboard I used to be the admin of. Never found someone to code it though...
and some other stuff I made...
I used to make forum signatures and wallpapers...

Damn! That's a nice webpage - love the book effect. Geez T, you could start playing with coding now too. You're smart enough to figure out web design. You're like the rockabilly answer to Thomas Edison.

Hey Tavo,
I'm sorry to hear of your problems at the TGP - I saw the first page of the thread and at that time it was just one idiot who thought you couldn't spell
I havn't visited the TGP over the past couple of days so I didnt read the latter stages of the thread.
You have a great product with or without the "seltzer" name - more power to you sir

Perhaps it could be employed as an emergency back-up as the 301's require a lot of maintenance and can be rather temperamental (especially in a touring environment) - add a good delay pedal (extensive discussions on this subject elsewhere in the "cave") and you have a very good (and maintenance free!) back-up rig

I always thought the name was an amusing play on the typo's that often turn up in Setzer articles etc. Anybody who could be annoyed by something so innocuous and obviously good natured needs to take a serious look at themselves and then take immediate steps to GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although I really hope that Brain wasn't the prime mover behind the name change request he does have a bit of a reputation as a bit of a sour puss! Come on Mr Seltzer -do the right thing!
Keep on rockin' etc etc Tav!!

Nice Crusin' Video and Tavo...it's a GREAT pedal and the association with Setzer/Seltzer is not important. I've got a collector's item! Keep doing what you do T.V.

you mean someday a "seltzer" graphic Nocturne Brain could become the next gold horseyman Klon? Can I say mine sounds better because of it
I wouldn't sweat the TGP BS, Tavo. I'm sure if those guys tried a Nocturne they wouldn't know how to use it with their clones of D*mble amps and handbuilt reliced "vintage" spec Fender guitar clones with mojo and mystiqued pickups. (I don't knock those gear items just some of the lot who "play" them).
BTW, what would a Dyna-brain do for my Powertron equipped Spectra Sonic?

I dont wanna say too much at the moment but a letter has been sent to setzer-camp. Waiting for a response.
dyno-brain... for pkups with a DC resistance higher than 7K. tvjones classics are like 4K...powertrons are near double that. dyno gives major stang twang ,near crunch at max

hmm, I may have to mull that one over.
correct me if I'm wrong, stang twang, near crunch at max= a similar sound to a "bearded Rev" from "Tejas" when playing with Powertrons? If so, I bet that would kill going through an old brownface combo!

naw.. it just makes other guitars behave like I want them too " a filtertron gretsch into an RE301" its just that the dyno's leaner low side lets you max the gain without a wall of low womp.. translates to a grindier "gritch"

I take offense that you would refer to the folks on this forum as children, and that statement is no more accurate than your first. Dont you think?
..still wish to maintain that nasty stance despite the fact that Niels sent a formal letter along with Brian publicly giving us permission plus letting me know it doesnt bother him AND ordered a pedal to boot?

Hey Guys...
I was hoping to release a new powder coated color on the Fourth of July that was really sparkly but it just hasnt panned out yet so I'm taking some chrome boxes and hitting them with candy impala blue and callin it "STUNTMAN BLUE" limited release of course. The circuit is only DYno Brain as the brain seltzer classic is no longer a standard but a custom request only in orange and purple.
